The darkness that hung like a dark veil around the beast was so strong, any man could tell that this was the very thing of evil.

The beast sneered, revealing long yellow fangs. It's yellow glowing eyes observed the beast pack below with interest.

"Where have you been?" he asked in a rough deep voice. The smaller, lesser white wolf below him bowed his head in respect and looked up at him with large, fearful yellow eyes.

"I have been searching for a mate, Ra. Though none of the other females come close to her," he said.

The beast growled viciously. "I have told you once already, Lucas, she is off limits!" he roared. The white wolf, Lucas, whimpered at his growl.

"I know, Ra. Just pointing out the obvious," he smirked and bowed his head again, leaving the beast.

Ra growled again and looked through the dark forest, his home and kingdom. No one could take that right from him.

But he was wrong, oh so wrong. Because someone could and can. And will.

And that someone was a little girl in a red hood.
