Prompt: Set in Camelot (S5)-
After Regina has a difficult time trying to free Merlin, Robin decides she needs a long break to relax.
Regina slammed the dusty spell book as hard as she could, just barely releasing the force and feelings of anger and frustration bubbling up inside her. Dark locks framed her pale, red-lipped face, fluttering in front of her shut eyes, attempting to calm down. A frustrated sigh left her mouth as she hung her head in despair over the stone table.
"It's alright," Robin comforted, stepping closer, "you'll get it."
Regina lifted her head, again in frustration, looking deeply into Robin's ocean eyes. His hands caressed her elbows, and almost instantly, her body relaxed for a split-second, melting into his touch. She nodded, breathing in his words of consideration.
"Perhaps it's time for a spot of tea, calm nerves lead to clear thoughts." Robin smiled and leaned in, placing a gentle peck to her soft lips, rubbing their noses before he turned to leave.
Turning around, Zelena rolled her eyes, clearly sickened by Robin's lovey-dovey affection.
"You're here so I can keep an eye on you, mute handmaiden—" Regina raised an eyebrow, "I don't need you rolling your eyes at me. We need to clear the air."
The redhead dramatically motioned her hands and opened her mouth, mimicking "Well..."
"Fine," Regina raised her hand, releasing the silent grip on her sister's vocal cords.
"Ooooh! Oh!" Zelena reached her palms to her throat, "There you are, my lovely voice! It's so... light and feminine...!"
"Enough!" Regina snapped. "Now, let's have a little chat about you trying to escape back to Oz," she stepped closer, crossing her arms around her red velvet sleeves in the process. "Zelena..." she started, "you know you can't take that child away from Robin."
"Can you blame me?" Zelena narrowed her piercing blue eyes. "You're going to take it away from me. This child could be my only chance for someone to truly love me and... if you got a second chance," her voice broke, "why can't I?"
"Oh, I'm sorry," Regina replied sarcastically, "but you've had a second chance. And a second second chance!" Regina stepped closer to the point where Zelena felt her angry breath against her face, "You can't keep painting yourself as a victim. It's absurd."
"You can tell me that life is fair all you want," Zelena raised her finger, her voice growing louder and louder, "I can tell you is that from in here, I'm still seeing the sister with ALL the toys and—"
Regina raised her hand in annoyance, cutting off her sister's vocal cords once again, "Be. Quiet," she hissed, "and listen for once in your life."
Zelena stomped her foot, giving Regina an if-looks-could-kill glare.
"You forgot who I am," she muttered, "the Evil Queen. I can be a far greater nightmare than you can possibly imagine."
"But now, my gift to you, is a promise," Regina folded her hands, motioning to Zelena's ever-growing bump, "I will make sure your baby is fine, and loved, and safe," Regina's expression softened into a gentle smile, and Zelena hinted in confusion.
