Connors pov

I wait at the station, i have to wait for Laura and Hank. As I sit at Hanks desk, I see Y/N swalking towards me

Oh god, here she comes, I don't want to upset her again.

"Hi Connor" she smiles

"Hi Y/N" i don't look at her. Her LED blocked yellow when I didn't look at her

"you're troubled" she states

I look up "so are you" I stand up and stand in front of her.

He is way taller than I am, wow look at his jaw line

Connor-
She is nervous, she is acting more human than usual, her adapting to emotions has extended far beyond than I expected

I squint my eyes at her and lean closer
"Your nervous" i state while leaning back and search Hanks desk

"What?"

"Don't bother making and excuse" i cut her off

She quietly stands there waiting patiently for Hank and Laura
"Whats taking them so long" she askd

"Fast food most likely" I predict

I gathered information about Hank so I connect our LED's to tell her

Connor looks at me as our LED disconnects. I gave him a smile and he  gave one back then going about his business.

Laura and Hank finally arrive and they brought fast food, as what I predicted

"You guys have been here the whole time?" Laura questions with a mouth food of chicken him her mouth

"Yes Laura" Y/N nods

Laura sits beside Hank and i talk to him, asking personal questions, about his dog and then i check files for any deviant cases.

There are a lot of files

"There is one here Lieutenant, a deviant android who ran away with a child" i state

"Well I guess we are doing a case today" Hanks says as he puts his food down

We all get in Hanks car and drive to the location where the deviant was.

A couple of hours go by and still no luck

"Ugh I'm hungry" Hanks says as he walks towards a food truck

"Ya me too" Laura says happily

They order food and goes and eat it while Y/N and myself stand there.

"Connor, do you think we will catch this deviant?" She asks

"I don't kno-"

I am cut off as we see an android and a little girl

"It's them!" I yell and start to chase them and Y/N chases as well

"Ugh for fucks sake" Hank yells "CONNOR, Y/N, GET BACK HERE"

We run chasing after them, we run through alleys and run across roads until there is a fence and on the other side is a highway

The deviant and the girl climb over and Y/N and I go to as well

"For Christ sake" Laura puffs out of breath pulling us down "you will get killed"

Y\N and I exchange a look and climb over the fence

"FOR FUCKS SAKE" Hanks yells

Your pov

We both run dodging cars and trucks. I am running and running and then Connor pulls me back.

He looks at me in the eyes "careful, almost got crushed"

I nod and keep running, I kept running and when I look back, I saw that Connor in the middle, he couldn't cross, but I did

I did something better than him

I keep running after them and finally I cornered them

"No please, please let us go, we mean no harm" the deviant girl android pleaded

"I-i-" I stuffer

"Please, please let us go" the little girl said

"GO, GO BEFORE THEY COME, JUST GO!" I yell and I sunk to my knees and out the corner of my eye I see Conner standing there with shock in his face and pity

Connor-
She let them go.... But the mission, I am mad, I can't believe it's, but her face, she is scared, her LED is red

The deviant and the child run away but Connor, he doesn't chase them, instead he walks up to me

I have worry in my eyes, I can't control my feelings I am gaining from Laura and hank

"Y/N, your LED is red?" Connor is concerned and squats down in front of me, hands on my shoulders

"I-i-im sorry" I cry

"Y/N? Why did you let them go?" He asks

"I couldn't take them, I couldn't let them be held captive, I couldnt!" I yell in his face, he is in shock but then he pulls me in for a hug

He is hugging me

Of course I hug back. He then stood up and we are still in our embrace, with me still sobbing

"Shhh" he hushes me in a soothing tone and I calmed down

He released himself from our embrace and held me by the shoulders and looked into my eyes

"Maybe it was for the best Y/N" he states "they don't seem like they will be that big to deal with" his LED is yellow. He smiles and for the first time he shows the most human like emotion in the time I have been with him and it makes me feel happy

Happy? No this, my program.....I care and I feel happy, and his touch is soothing and... NO MY MISSION

"Whats going on" Hank yells as he see us. Connor quickly wipes my tears away and straightened me up

"Well um Y/N" Connor looks at me and looks at Hank "she chased them all the way here but she couldn't catch them, but she was so close" he lied

He lied for me, he- but the mission

"Good job Y/N, we now actually know which way they went" he smiles

We went back to the station

"Ugh guess it's time for us to go home, right Connor?" Hank asks

"Yes Lieutenant" Connor says "but I'll be fine here"

"Alright suit yourself, you know where I live" Hank nods and walks out

"Y/N you coming home?" Laura asks

"No I am fine" I speak

"Oh uh okay, dont you two get into any trouble, you hear me" she says as she gives us a suspicious look and walks out.

"So what do we do now" I ask Connor

"Wait for them to come back tomorrow" he smiles at me
