"FUCK!"
a wine glass was thrown against the thirium stained wall.
"YOU FUCKING ANDROIDS ALWAYS MESS THINGS UP!"
a hand grabbed his neck and squeezed tightly until his skin removed itself and revealed the white metal underneath. he kicked and pulled, and even at one point tried begging.
"I GO OUT AND BUY YOU, ONLY FOR YOU TO FUCK UP!"
the hand moved, and he dropped to his knees. he watched his master walk off for a moment before coming back with something in her hand.
"the police won't even have to destroy you, i'll do it myself."
he watched as she cocked the gun, mascara running down her face. she placed it against his forehead, and smiled.
"bye-bye, simon."
a loud knock ran through the house from the front door, making his master distracted. he stood and grabbed the gun from her hand, thirium wiping onto the cold metal.
"OPEN UP DETROIT POLICE!"
she turned around to him and went to grab him, slamming his face over and over into the marble countertop, yelling and putting on an act like he was hurting her.
a gunshot sounded as the door opened, and her body dropped the the floor, leaving him and the police alone in the house. he took the gun with him as he ran into the bathroom, locking the door and scrambling to get out the window in time.
he ran until he couldn't, and found himself at the edge of the dock. he ran towards the large freighter called "JERICHO", and didn't think twice about jumping into it. he was loosing thirium, and he was losing it fast. he scrambled out of the water and up the rusted ladder, and ran through the dark until he collapsed on the damp floor, tears running down his face.
"simon-"
"simon!"
he opened his eyes and looked at north and josh, who were standing in front of him with worried expressions plastered across their faces.
"uh, sorry. what's going on?" simon straightened his jacket slightly, not making eye contact with either of them.

josh sighed, "markus went out on a mission without us an-"

"oh god- is he alright?" simon cut him off, blue eyes showing panic.

"no, simon. he's just not back yet." north rolled her eyes, "give him some slack, he can do stuff on his own without dying."

josh tilted his head in thought before opening his mouth, "well, that's debatable, but we were talking to you and you just kinda...zoned out."

"is everything alright?"

the trio turned to see markus, who was stained in thirium and had several cuts along his face.

"the real question is are you alright?" north traced one of his cuts with her index finger, her voice low and gentle.

"yeah, i'm fine. i just got roughed up on the way back." markus looked over at simon, who  was staring at him, and winked.

the blonde looked away quickly once markus met his gaze, his face turning blue with embarrassment.

josh laughed softly and shook his head, "i just witnessed that and i don't know how to feel."

simon lightly hit josh's arm, "you didn't see anything."

"oh yeah, totally." the taller android smiled, "i didn't see markus flirt with you."

"watch it, josh. the only person he flirts with is me." north chuckled as she pulled off her beanie to throw her hair into a ponytail.

"so about the next parts and thirium trip i was thinking we could..."

he closed his eyes and held the gun closer to his chest, the tight space on the roof making him feel even more alone. they had left him. left him to get found and slaughtered by the police. of course it's no better than watching the man he fell in love with shoot him, which was a very real and very hard choice to not make. wouldn't you listen to your girlfriend? simon could've sworn markus wanted to say something on that roof, he just didn't know what. maybe it was he was sorry? maybe there was another way to get him off the roof? no one would ever know, because they left him there all alone and about to die, losing thirium faster than it should've been allowed. he-

"simon?" markus placed a hand on the blonde's shoulder.

"oh-" simon shook his head and looked up at markus, "yes?"

"are you okay with that?" he moved his hand from simon's shoulder.

"with...with what?" he shuffled his feet slightly.

"running with me to go get more thirium. it won't take long, and since we're free we won't have to sneak too much."

simon nodded, "yeah. that's fine."

"only problem is, where in the hell are we gonna store it? not like back at jericho where we could simply slide it into the storage." north crossed her arms.

"that's true, but the church has an empty basement josh found yesterday where we can set up an infirmary." markus looked at her and turned on his heels.

north nodded in agreement, "then i guess me and josh can go start helping those we can."

markus, north, and josh all said their "see you later" 's and their "be back soon" 's.

"we'll go in a bit, first i wanna talk to you." markus looked at simon, who was messing with his shirt sleeves.

"talk to...me about?"

"you."
