Calum dropped his bag on the table next to Corinna and sat down on the chair, all while smirking at the teenage girl beside him. Corinna gulped and pretended to pull out her notebook from her backpack to give herself some time to think. Out of all the students in her class, Calum was the one student she wanted to work with the least, even if it meant having to deal with Matthew's weird stares or Riley's mean looks. While she tried to collect her thoughts, Mrs. Jordan's voice brought her back to reality.

"Now class, the first assignment that you will be working with and you'll be handing in next week is a three pages long essay on your first impression of your partner. I will give you a few questions about the partner, but the rest is up to you." she said. The class groaned and sighed loudly to show their unhappiness with the assignment but Mrs. Jordan only smiled and started handing out sheets of paper with questions on them. Corinna, much like the class, was very unhappy with the whole project but decided to just suck it up. When she received a paper from the teacher, she skimmed though the questions and realized that she already had the answer to most of them. The teenage boy next to her coughed and she looked up from the sheet of paper to see him smirking at her.

"So are you going to tell me your name or am I going to have to call you tampongirl for the rest of this project?" he asked. Corinna sighed and kept her eyes down on her paper while mumbling her name.

"You'll have to speak up babe, I can't hear you." Calum said as the girl brought her eyes back up to meet the boy's dark chocolate colored ones.

"It's Corinna." she told him, a little louder this time. He nodded and grabbed the paper that Mrs. Jordan had given her. Frowning at the boy's rudeness, Corinna turned away from him and started to write down answers to the questions on her notebook. Corinna spent the rest of the hour working with the assignment while her partner was preoccupied using his phone. It wasn't until the teacher announced that they only had a few minutes left of this class that Calum started talking to her.

"So, how exactly are we going to do this?" the boy next to her asked and she turned to him with a confused face.

"What do you mean?" she mumbled, a confused expression taking over her face.

"Well, we obviously don't know anything about each other to answer these questions and I really can't afford to fail this class just because you don't feel like talking to me, so I was thinking we should meet up somewhere and start getting to know each other." he answered simply while still keeping his eyes on his phone. Corinna wouldn't be surprised if he was sexting some random girl in their school, but hey, who was she to judge? But she was mad about the fact that he seamed to put all the blame on her when he had been keeping his eyes on his phone for the past fifty minutes, never once taking a slight interested in her or their assignment. Yet, she was still surprised at the worlds that came out of her mouth.

"Excuse me, you're the one who's been spending this whole hour on his phone, while I'm practically done with this whole assignment. So I'd suggest that you lose the fucking attitude and ask nicely."

And judging by the look on Calum's face, so was he. The surprised expression lingered on his face for a few seconds before it turned back to the smirk he always had on.

"So i'm guessing, you're on that time of the month still." he smiled sweetly at her before starting to talk again. "My parents are at work and my sister won't be home, so would you mind coming over to my house the finish this assignment." Corinna mirrored his smile before shaking her head.

"How about we meet up somewhere else, like a coffee place or something?" she asked. Corinna was never really fond of going over to other people's houses and preferred being somewhere public where it wouldn't be just the two of them.

"Are you trying to ask me out on a date?" Calum asked with a smirk on his face, which led to Corinna rolling her eyes at the teenage boy who was to full of himself for his own good.

"Oh please, don't flatter yourself. This might come as a shock to you, but every girl's not into the whole asshole thing." she told him, just as the bell rang. Calum just smiled back at her before starting to get up from his seat. Corinna folded the paper that they were given by Mrs. Jordan and put it in her notebook before putting everything away in her backpack.

"I finish at three so I could meet you up by the car park." the teenage boy said before walking a way. Corinna obviously didn't have a say in this as he didn't wait for her answer but she didn't feel like keeping the argument going and just sighed. Because Corinna had a free period, she plugged in her earplugs, put on her backpack and made her way to the library. As she was walking around in the corridors, she bobbed her head and mumbled the lyrics that was playing in her earplugs.

"On top of you not calling me back, you see I bet you think it's all on track, and you actin' like it's all a dat" she mumbled along while looking down on the floor before colliding in to someone. She pulled out her earplug and looked up at the person and the first thing she laid her eyes on was the haircolor of the teenage boy in front of her. The color was an electric and compelling blue color that made the boy's skin look milky white, in a very attractive way. The teenage boy cleared his throat and Corinna pulled out her earplugs and started apologies for her clumsiness.

"Oh god, I'm so sorry, I was just uh, listening to-to music and I didn't see you and-" she stopped when she heard the teenage boy chuckle. He put a hand on her shoulder and gave her a smile.

"It's fine really, you were jamming along to one of the greatest artists in the world and happened to not see me, it happens to the best of us." he said and Corinna felt her face turn to a crimson red color. She didn't realise that she had been listening to the music so loud that other people could hear it. She smiled at him and was about to put in her earplugs and walk away when he started talking again.

"Are you new here or something? I've never seen you here before." the teenage boy said and Corinna shook her head.

"Nope. Maybe you just haven't noticed me or something." she mumbled and gave him a light smile. "Huh, weird, I would have remembered such a beautiful face." he smirked and only then did Corinna notice that the boy was flirting with her. Now Corinna wasn't entirely new to flirting, but she was an all together oblivious and naive girl and never in her life would she have thought that Micheal Clifford, one of the most popular guys in her school would flirt with her. Mainly because they had been going to the same school for years and never had he ever taken a slight interest in her. And so Corinna did, what she thought was appropriate when someone was trying to flirt with you, she smiled and put her earplugs in her ear before walking away at a fast pace.

okay first of, i'm so sorry it took me like 7 months to update, i really don't know why but i've just been so stressed and i've just not been really thinking about updating this and stuff, so yeah, i'm so sorry.

second of all, i'm so sorry that this chapter is so shitty and short, i just really wanted to update for you guys so yeah, i might go back and change it. oh i'd i haven't edited this or anything so yeah, it's probs full of mistakes and error, but whatever

So yeah, now that i've said that, i am sooooo happy to be writing again and ugh i just love corinna and she is literally my spirit animal lol

oh and here is the physical description of how corinna looks:

so like, i kind of imagine her to look like a mix of logan browning, isabella peschardt and a young beyoncé. so yeah in my mind she's african american (black) and she's kind of short, like 5'0, curvy with very dark hair and like hazel eyes.
