White Lies.
I swear I want to tell you the truth,
But I'm trying not to hurt you,
I don't want to lie to you,
Because truly,
I'd hate to see the disappointment,
That laces around your eyes,
The frown,
That frames your face,
It's just easier to tell a white lie,
Because I want to save face,
Because I'm scared,
You'll look at me differently,
Because I'm scared,
You'll think of me differently.
