sadie was in a struggle, she too had been having some thoughts about her sexuality, and she wasn't sure how to go about them
ever since she met the cast and began filming for season 2 of stranger things, she just through those thoughts aside. she wanted to focus on being maxine mayfield who's a badass with a skateboard, not sadie sink who's pure and thinks she likes women.
she wasn't sure, and she let all of these thoughts flood back into her mind as soon as elise said she was gay and millie asked her the hypothetical question.
she didn't know her sexuality yet, but she did know 3 little things
shes never wanted a boyfriend, she didn't like the kiss with caleb at all, she truthfully had a small attraction for millie when she first
met her

sadie decided to call finn to talk about it, but he insisted they go out for coffee instead
sadie accepted, but ultimately got nervous as soon as she opened the door and saw him sitting at a table in the back, he'd always been there for her, and that's why she wanted to talk to him and nobody else

"hey" she said with a smile
"hey! here's your coffee" he responded pulling out her chair and letting her sit down, then handing her the starbucks cup containing a white mocha coffee
they talked for about 30 minutes until sadie finally got the courage to change the subject to what she really needed to talk to him about
"i need a realization" she said
finn looked at her confused
"i think i'm gay" she responded
finn almost choked on his coffee
"since when" he replied, looking at her softly
"well when i kissed caleb it felt wrong" she said, looking at finn
finn nodded
"and i've never liked a guy in my life"
finn looked at her kindly "sades, don't be ashamed of it, it's who you are, you're human, and i wouldn't change anything about you, ever"
she felt tears swimming in her eyelid, she knew she was going to start crying, so she stood up and embraced him into a soft hug
he kissed her cheek and held her closely
"sadie sink, you will always be my best friend, no matter who you're attracted to, or how many of my chocolate bars you steal" she laughed "i will always love you" he finished saying releasing the hug
"thank you finn, i love you too" she replied taking her coffee in her hand
"i think you need to say something" he said grabbing his coffee
sadie sighed "i think so too"
finn smiled, taking a sip of his coffee and wrapping his arm around the redhead as they left the starbucks
