"Umm hello? Who's this," Linus asked confused as to how this person he was talking with for the first time knew his name.
"I presume that Leon hasn't mentioned me around you, has he? Shame on that boy." Star just went on as if it was a normal conversation while Linus looked at me for what to do. I just shrugged my shoulders. I was still sick so talking to her might not work considering how raspy my voice is at the moment.
" How do you know my name and who are you," Linus asked in semi-serious tone.
" I'm Star, a friend of Leon." Linus was eased but also had more questions for me now.
" Leon she's really your friend? When'd you guys meet?"
"We met like two days after meeting you and I had asked her for some advice on what to do with our date." Then Star interrupted me with a sound of disgust.
"Ewww! Leon is that you? Aww, my baby's sick. Luckily I was on my way over to check up on you." Then Linus spoke up.
" What stopped you from coming over right away," Linus asked. I kinda wondered the same thing considering I live within walking distance of the school. However, Star is rich and a princess- sorta- so she probably can't just do whatever she wants without someone knowing because she'd be at risk. But Linus doesn't know that.
" I was looking for you. We don't have any classes together and I didn't see you at lunch so I assumed that you weren't at school. So I decided to hit up all of your favorite places like the library, the coffee shop, and that ice cream shop Linus took you to. I asked the guy that works there if he had seen you and he had remembered your name and everything. How much ice cream did you buy since going there? But regardless I waited to go to your house because showing up without warning is just rude and whether there was something wrong with you or not I respect your privacy."
After that Linus and I's cheeks were blushing at what Star said. Me from the mention that I had gone back to that ice cream stand every day and bought about five different flavors to try, and Linus from what I can presume the fact that he had shown up at my house unannounced. This means that Elijah is probably at fault as well considering he not only showed without notice but the fact that it was through my window. Which I should question because I do have a second story house and he climbed through my bedroom window which is on the second floor.
" Anyway, I'm glad that you are being taken care of. And the fact that Linus is there means that you've made a decision. You guys have a lot of explaining to do when I get there. I'll be there in about ten seconds. Love Ya! Byyyyeeeee!" And with that, she hung up. It appears that I have some explaining to do to more than just Star.
"So how many more friends do you have exactly? You don't have to tell me but I'm hella confused and nothing's making sense anymore." He sat down on my bed while I was trying to get out of bed
" Woah why are you trying to move? You're still sick." Star will be here soon and Elijah's downstairs. I can't allow her to mouth off to him and embarrass me. I've never cared about being embarrassed before but for some reason, I feel as if she might say the wrong thing.
"I have to go greet Star at the door."
" Elijah and I can go get her and send her up."
"I'd rather do it myself."
Then a sudden burst into my room startles me and causes me to jump back and land back in bed. Star walked into my room and walked past Linus and sat at the edge of my bed.
"Is that the Elijah guy downstairs? He is cute. Where's Linus", she whispered. I didn't bother answering because I felt that I was going to die from embarrassment. I saw Elijah rush upstairs and look at Star like she was a mad woman. What'd she done in a matter of seconds?
" You mind telling me why you're showing up with guards at Leon's door," Elijah fussed. So she does have secret service guys hanging around. She must be able to escape them to say she shops at the mall without them. Or does she? I've only hung out with her like a total of three times and so far no secret service guys. I suppose I should introduce everyone properly.
" Can everyone have a seat please so that I may sort this confusion out." Slowly but surely Linus and Elijah sat down somewhere in the room. I never noticed that I have enough room and space to have an intimate get together in my own room. So everyone sat really far from one another.
" So Star this is Elijah. Elijah this is Star. Linus this is Star. Star, Linus. And I'm sure you and Elijah have gotten acquainted with one another," I said in one breath. Probably not a good idea considering that I could only breath through my nose. There was a silence about the room. "Star is my friend who gives me advice on..." quick think of something. "Let's say relationship advice. Linus is a friend of mine who's taken me out before. And I just recently met Elijah and befriended him." They then just looked at each other. It was a silent war. No one spoke.
"So that means we all came to see you because you didn't come to school. Why didn't you just text us? We were worried about you," Elijah said first. Linus and Star looked to me for an answer as well.
" I didn't want to bother you. It'd be a hassle," I said looking down at my hands. I haven't had friends for that long but I know that I don't wanna be a burden to them. That only hinders other people. They looked at one another as if they knew what was coming next.
And then they laughed. And I mean they were falling over laughing.
"We are your friends. Taking care of you is more or less something we want to do than it is a burden," Star told me while cackling. I made a small faint smile. I was happy to have these people as my friends. They seem to make me feel better and better about myself everyday. And they teach me new things all the time and show no signs of stopping soon. This isn't boring at all. This is...
This is quite fun.
