Alex stood in the hall at his locker, "hey Alex!" Jefferson said from a distance, Alex looked up and hurried to cover his arms, "oh uh hey Thomas. W-what are you doing?" "Oh nothing" Thomas replied, Alex had been struggling with depression for a year now, and things were getting harder everyday, but every day at school he held his head up high. Alex finished putting on his sweatshirt and walked to class, "hey faggot" Burr called from across the room, Alex ignored him and continued to talk to Thomas, Thomas loved high school, and just everything about it, Alex was sorta the same, he loved class and everything about it, his favorite class was history, but burr just made Alex hate class sometimes, he always got beat up and called names like faggot, stupid, worthless, and so much more, Alex's dad recently died and that's when his depression started, his mom recently started dating someone new, and his moms new boyfriend was so rude to Alex, he tried to attempt suicide 3 times but each time failed. He just wanted to know he was loved and wanted. But little did he know. His life long best friend had a crush on him. And Alex secretly liked Thomas back but was to scared to tell him.
