"Thanks mom, we'll be right back!" With that, the girls were right out the door.

Ella held tightly onto the little girls hand as she walked, walking down the trail to the treehouse she came to when it was her grandmas funeral. The little memory of the two boys played out in her head from the last time she came here, only faintly. Wondering if those same boys still lived here, but her mind wandering off quickly to something else.

"It's down the hill." She leaned down to the girls height and said as they walked down the narrow trail. After Ella told her, the girl let go of her hand and went running down in excitement. She began running down too, trying to catch up to Nancy.

"Nancy wait up! Legend has it, there's a boy with one leg who lurks these woods, looking for children!" She shouted, hoping that Nancy would listen.

She figured her laugh or her feet hitting the ground was loud enough for her not hear her cause it was no luck. She sighed and went jogging to the little girl. When she finally caught up she saw that Nancy had found it for herself. The little girl stood still, looking up at the treehouse with amazement in her eyes.

"How'd you know there was a treehouse here? You don't even live here." She said, still looking up at it.

"I got curious one day, came for a walk, and here it was waiting for me." She said and the little girl looked kind of confused.

"Are we allowed to go in?" Nancy asked, almost sounding like she was scared. Ella just thought for a second, of those same boys she met three years back, wondering if they still came around. It looked kind of different, almost like no one ever came around anymore so she was sure they were allowed to go in.

"Of course." She lied after debating on whether she should or not.

But with that the little girl was climbing up the ladder, Ella stayed down just in case she missed a step so she'd be able to catch her. As she opened it, the little girl only came climbing back down as fast as she could, like she was scared.

"Someone's in there!" Nancy said and tried to grab Ella's hand to run. Ella laughed, thinking the kid was joking but got scared when she saw a pair of feet dangling from the entrance.

"I'm just retrieving a couple a old things, you guys can stay if you want." The boy said, sitting down with his legs hanging.

"No, it's ok, we were just leaving." Ella said, still holding onto Nancy's hand.

She looked up at the boy before she decided to leave, wondering if he was one of those from three years ago, but quickly looked away when she found him examining her too. She noticed it was none of those boys, this one had a slim figure and brown hair. Looked about the same age, if not a year older then Ella and she found him fairly attractive.

"Actually, I was just about to leave. You guys can stay.. no one comes here anymore." He said, holding a box of stuff, of what Ella was guessing were some old books and magazines.

"Let's check it out.." Nancy whispered, yanking at Ella's dress, trying to hide from the boy.

"And who's this?" He said, playfully making his way to Nancy, trying to show her she didn't have to be scared of him. Which only resulted in her trying to find a better hiding spot behind Ella's legs.

"This is my little cousin Nancy, she's shy." Ella said and chuckled.

"That's a nice name, you got there, Nancy." He said to the little girl as she peeked at him, she kind of eased up abit after this, letting out a small giggle.

"I'm Gordie." He crouched down and tried to shake Nancy's hand, she finally gave in and shook it.

"Hi Gordie." She said shyly and laughed.

"I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name?" He said, getting up and bringing his attention back to Ella.

This was when he took the time to take in her features. She was very stunning, her hair was light brown and held in a ponytail, her eyes were almost an ocean blue, she had a slightly tan complexion and wore a white buttoned shirt with a sky blue skirt, along with some little gold hoop earrings. She was also a pretty petite girl. Gordie couldn't help but drool in his head, but he tried to keep his cool.

"My names Ella." She introduced herself and brought her hand out for him to shake.

He couldn't help but wonder where he's heard that name before. He then remembered when Teddy would tease Chris over some girl named Ella, a girl they had met but never saw again. Chris talked about her too occasionally when they were younger, hoping to see her again. Although, that was when they were thirteen, so Gordie couldn't be too sure if this was the Ella they were talking about.

"Are you knew in town?" He couldn't help but ask.

"Staying for the summer at my grandpas." She shrugged and he nodded. He was still curious, but didn't want to mention anything about Chris or Teddy, not wanting to freak her out.

"Well, it was nice meeting you Ella, and Nancy," he smiled at the little girl at the last part. "but I better get going.. I'll see ya around?" He said and looked at Ella.. they nodded at eachother as if it was their goodbye. She couldn't help but think hopefully, but only because she knew this summer wasn't gonna be so interesting.
