Aftermultiple hours of practicing combat, using weapons, and trying new things with the prototype such as slowing down time to make it seem like I'm moving superfast and get behind my opponent. And a few other cool tricks for up my sleeve. We were all exhausted and hungry and Elliot's mom was going through a vegan phase so we decided to go out to the local diner Benny's. Benny's was ran by Benny Thompson who made the best burgers in this town.
"I'm so tired."I whined shuffling down the street.
"I know right." Kassie added on to validate my point.
"Eliiiiii?"I ask dragging out the 'i'.
"Girl Scouuuut?" Elliot mocked me dragging out the 'out'.
"Can I get a piggy back ride." I pouted giving him my best puppy dog eyes.
After trying to ignore them he caved in.
"Fine." he said and I cheered before jumping on his back. No one can resists my puppy dog eyes.
Kassie Looked at Caleb expectingly and reluctantly he let her ride on is back. I smirked at them. I ship them, Kaleb, Cassie. I don't know if it really would work. I snapped out of my thoughts when Caleb slows down and looks over his shoulder. Elliot does the same and we watch as people begin to appear in different spots surrounding us. You can feel a change in the air as people begin to time travel right in front of us. Elliot puts me down and Caleb puts down Kassie. I look over at Caleb and he gives me a confident nod.I look over to Kassie and Elliot who have no idea what to do. Are we seriously being ambushed right now I just want a burger.
" I'll get them out first." I whisper to Caleb who nods taking out two daggers. I tell Kassie and Elliot to hold onto my shoulder and I pull out the prototype. Clicking the button time freezes. The Only people who can move is me, Elliot and Kassie.
"Run and Hide!" I tell them.They look at me warily.
"Go!"I rush them and the finally comply and run and hide nead one one of the buildings. I unfreeze time when there safe and wink at Caleb. He seems to get it and I touch Caleb's shoulder before I slow down time so he won't be trapped and can move freely when ever I slow down or freeze time. I pull out a dagger of my own and watch as a throng of minutes come to our direction. A guy who seems to be in control comes forward.
"Second"Caleb whispers to me. My eyes widen but I keep my face blank. No wonder he was emitting so much power.
"Hand over the prototype, Mrs. Glass." the second demanded. But of course me and my mouth had something to say.
"And who are you?" I ask, the Second just smirks.
"I am Leonardo Grimm and I will only ask once more, give me the prototype now." He demands again. Funny. I literally burst out laughing.
"You" I point a finger at him.
"Think I am going to give you the prototype." I laugh
"Knee slapper, yeah no." I laugh before turning completely serious.
"Minutes,attack." Leonardo summons.
"REALLY DUDE, ALL I WANTED WAS A BURGER!" I yelled to him.
"I don't think I should have pissed off second." I whisper to Caleb.
"Ya... think."He whisper shouts back. I simply shrug my shoulders. I watch as a bunch of minutes run towards me. Caleb is already off fighting a bunch of people. I realise it's impossible to fight all of these people at once and my only bet is to get to the second. As a minute attacks me I elbow him in the stomach and take my dagger and cut his shoulder and scratch his face deep enough to leave a scar and distract him with pain. I slow down time before the next guy could attack.I keep time moving slightly cause what fun would it be if it was perfectly still. I elbow another minute out of my way and punch another in the face. I weave in between the others and before I know it I have reached Leonardo. I can visibly see his face turn from confidence to pure fear. Next thing I know Im standing in front of him with a dagger pressed to his throat. I quickly press the button and time resumes back to normal. I pull and twist Mr. Grimm's arm behind back and apply pressure causing him to wince in pain. No wonder seconds stay in there high chair. Although they have power they are weak as ever. The minutes turn around confused and freeze. I can tell Caleb wasn't expecting this and also looks stunned.
"Id suggest sending your minutes back to wherever the hell you all came from and going back also before I kill you and all your men." I whisper threatening him. I know he is terrified. But what he doesn't know is that I am definitely bluffing. I could easily freeze time and kill every minute but I couldn't bring myself to actually kill. Emotions With his free hand for the minutes to go.
"I'll see you soon." He whispers,before disappearing as well time traveling to probably 1692.
I watch as my friends run over to me.
"How did you do that?" Elliot asked.
"Just slow time down nothing special." I said
"That was so cool." Kassie adds nudging my arm with her shoulder causing me to smile.
"I was not expecting that, Im like speechless." Caleb manages to get out.
We All laugh at this.
"Can we get some burgers now?" I ask.
"I swear you and food." Kass pushes me playfully as we walk up to the Diner.
