Not So Bad After All

~Chapter 3~

~time skip to when they get up to the human world~

Once we got out of the portal, I felt a slight breeze and all I saw was bright light. Like, holy shit it was bright. I knew the sun would be pretty intense, but I didn't think it would be this intense! Once my eyes got used to the light, I took in my surroundings. We were on a street, and houses were everywhere. And I saw objects that I remembered were in a book I once read about humans. There are trees? I think. My mom took my hand and lead me up the street a bit to a fairly large suburban house. 

My mom lead me up to the front door and unlocked it. "Welcome to your new home!" she exclaimed, throwing her arms around me in a side hug.  I smiled slightly. I didn't want to be here, but it was still a nice house nonetheless. "It's nice." I said, looking around a little. She looked at me with a bit of concern. "Honey what's wrong? You haven't been talking very much today." I shrugged. "Nothing much to talk about I guess. I mean, I have to stay up here for a year, be a dick and kill innocent people, and stay in this house. Not much to say about it." She ignored my swearing in that statement and smiled sadly. "You'll get used to it honey. It won't be that bad." "Whatever." I stated.

~Time skip~

My mom finished giving me a tour of the house and showing me how everything worked, and was now showing me my bedroom. She said that she decorated it so that is would look like a typical boy's room. We walked in and I saw the theme was black red, like my old room back at home. On one wall it had a really cool design with buildings and stuff. The one thing I was really confused about though, was there was a dude on a very strange looking plank of wood. I was about to ask my mom about but she started speaking. "So, since you have to be around humans, you must look like a human. So, we must hide your tail, horns, wings, and eyes." "And how are we going to do that? Make me drink a potion to make them disappear or something?" I joked. If I had to be up here for a year, I'm sure as hell not going to take it seriously. "No. You have to tuck your tail in your pants when you go outside, put this invention the humans made called eye contacts in your eyes, and hide your horns by covering them with your hair since they are small enough." She said with a blank expression. I stared at her with disbelief. "You've got to be kidding me!" I stated. "I'm not." she stated. " I AM NOT PUTTING MY TAIL IN MY PANTS!" I yelled. But she stayed calm. "Chronus." She said sternly "It is the only way to hide it. Now, I have set a schedule of everything you will be doing, and since you will have to go to human school, as they call it high school, everything you need is in your backpack by your desk." She pointed to the desk in the corner of the room. "Now, I got to get back home. I'll come check on you in a few days." She kissed me on the cheek. 'goodbye honey. Love you." "Love you too mom." I sighed. She then walked out of my room, and walked through the portal. I looked at the clock. '8:24' It read. 'I should probably go to bed then. I have to get up early if I don't want to be late.' I thought. I didn't even bother changing clothes and just got into bed falling asleep immediately.
