Chronus walked down the cracked sidewalk with his backpack slung over his shoulder. He sighed heavily pushing away some of his dark navy blue curly locks. Although he has been around these hot conditions all his life, he never seemed to get used to them. He soon arrived at his house, well, more like mansion. You see, our dear Chronus is a demon and his father just happens to be Satan. Which means he lives in hell. (Figuratively and literally.) Now right here is where the story begins my friends.
~chronus's pov~
I sighed, looking up at the literal mansion that is my home. I don't mind living in a large house really. Gives me more space to roam around and hide away from people. Especially my dad. I don't really get along well with him. But I mean it isn't an abusive relationship, just kind of...distant. I shook my head. I didn't feel like thinking about that right now. I opened the large cedar door that had engravings of people being killed in so many different ways. Suicide, murder, you name it. I never really liked the thought of death, but I just pretend I do to please my dad. I was thrown out of my thoughts when I heard someone calling my name. "Mister Chronus sir!" It was one of our 'maids' (some tortured lost soul who displeased my dad.) she ran up to me, her hair neatly pulled back in a bun with a typical red and black uniform. "your father would like to see you sir." I rolled my eyes. He was the last person I wanted to see today. I already knew my day was about to get way shittier than it already was. I nodded my head, and followed her to the 'throne room' as my father called it. I looked up, and saw he was sitting in his 'throne' with faeries surrounding him(the faeries are human sized, not like the tiny ones in fairy tales btw) my poor mother. She had to put up with my pig of a father everyday.
"hello Chronus." he bellowed, his white irises shining in the dull light in the room. "hi....dad." I whispered, forcing myself to call him that. "so, as you know you will be turning 16 this week." he continued. I nodded. I completely forgot that my fucking birthday was this week. "Well," he went on, "I decided since you are soon to take my place when I am older, you must learn how to deal with the scummiest cretins ever created. So I have decided that you should go up to the human world to learn how to properly collect souls." he stated, seeming to have a hard time saying humans. I tensed. I didn't know anything about humans. I've heard stories, but I never believe them. "wait, WHAT?" I yelled. I did not want to go up to the humans, live with them, and steal innocent people's souls! That's not okay! But I as much as I protested, he would not listen. "That's enough! You will be staying up there for a year! You will leave tomorrow. Go say goodbye to your friends." I stormed away, laughing to myself. Friends? What friends? You would think being the son of Satan and living in Hell would have it's perks with the fellow demons. But no, you're severely feared and bullied. It sucks ass. I walked past my mom's bedroom and took a peak inside. She isn't there. Though I wouldn't blame her. If I were married to an asshole like that for the rest of my life, I wouldn't be around that much either. I sighed, storming into my room and slamming the door.
~There's the first chapter! I hope you guys enjoyed it! Again this is my first time writing and i'm very sorry if it's not very good, critique is very much welcome!~
