The woman at the front desk gave a few looks as she rang up the clothes. The more looks she gave, the more self-conscience I became. I've always hated bringing attention to myself and being with Harry didn't help with that. It wasn't necessarily all bad attention, actually a lot of it was good. He always got looks from girls, nods from guys, smiles from teachers, and stares from strangers. That's just how he was. I guess opposites can attract. But we aren't completely different. Both Harry and I both have flaws, more than I'd liked to admit, but they are there. The thing about flaws is, everyone has them, it's how you handle them that can bring the attention. People cover up appearance flaws with makeup, surgeries, and whatever else girls do to get rid of them. But how do you hid a dark past?
I've always tried to hide from it. But while I was with Harry, I didn't have too. He didn't have to hide. He didn't have to run. He had the power to fight. I was always too weak, too nervous to try. He didn't mind sharing his stories with me. It was others, that he didn't care for.
Sean wasn't like that. He always kept his lips sealed when it came to his past. But every one once and a while, he would like something slip. He's like unraveling ribbon. Then it gets tangled and you have to try to ravel it again.
When the told came up, my eyes nearly fell out of my head.
"That will be $467.03." The woman calmly stated, then eyes Harry. Her name tag read 'Kathleen', and it didn't suit her well. She had grayish white hair and small sun spots on her cheeks. Her forehead had permanent creases and her lips were marked with a frown.
Harry pulled out his wallet, a wore out brown leather, the fold getting wary. I bought him that wallet, almost six years ago. It's wasn't a special occasion, it's not like he ever waited for one to get me something. So it would be a circle. He would buy me a gift, I would find out the price, buy him a gift, he'd try to deny it, but he would always feel bad for taking it, so he would buy me something.
"Harry, why are you spending $500 at this place?" I turned towards him, catching a glare from Kathleen.
"Aud, it's not a big deal." He shrugged handing Kathleen, who was now smiling, well almost smiling, the money and grabbing our bag of clothes. He grabbed my hand with his free one and lightly pulled me out of the store. He stopped a few feet after walking out, turning to me. His grin was wide and his eyes were shining. "Come on." He pulled me past all the shops, stopping at a small unisex bathroom. He opened the door, "My lady." He bowed, smiling up at me.
"Harry, why are we going into the bathroom?"
He shrugged. "To get changed." He grabbed my hand, pulling me in and locking the door. I looked over my shoulder at the door. "Aud, relax. It's me. I'm not gonna kill you." He smiled, taking his shoes off, one at a time.
I bit my lip, nervously. The last time he had seen me naked, was the time before he left. The time we-
"Relax." He smiled, disturbing my thoughts. "See, I won't look." He turned around, putting his hands over his eyes.
I rolled my eyes, slipping off my tank over my head. I slipped off my shoes, already regretting the heels. Before I could stop myself, my eyes were wandering back to Harry. He was just in his boxers. They hung low on him and I know if he turned around, there would be a toned stomach, leading down to his V-line. He bent down the pick up his black pants. His back curved, his shoulders slouched, but he still looked amazing. He slipped on his pants. I couldn't help, but to watch him. The way ever cell in my body reacted to his movements. I probably looked like an idiot, standing there shirtless, watching a guy who I've seen naked before, get dressed.
"I can feel you watching me." Oh no. I felt my cheeks turn a bright red, my eyes widened and was lost for words. He caught me and I could hear the smirk in his voice.
He turned around and sure enough, he was smirking. I was correct on my description though, as my eyes traveled down his body.
I couldn't move. Just say something. It's Harry. This situation can't get worse. Just say something! "I'm still in love with you."
Okay. I made it worse.
