Izzy turned around with a massive bruise covering he right eye "oh, my god. What happened?" malia asked "kickboxing class, I thought 'why not? Quick class after work and boom! Home in time to see you'" "well you go the boom part right" malia said slowly
"Andreas foot right into my face" Izzy said "she has to pick today to finally land her roundhouse?" "It's okay. Well fix it" clary tried "oh, my go" Izzy panicked "what are people gonna think? And then Alec worked so hard to plan this. I just cannot no go to the party and what am I supposed to do? I worked so hard"
Malia grabbed onto Izzy's arms to keep her from pacing about "hey, were gonna fix it" she said, Izzy nodded then took a seat on her bed. Clary then got some makeup and proceeded to help Izzy cover up the bruise

"May I?" jace asked malia, who was standing with clary by the snack table.
"jace. Hi, um..." malia said "malia, what's going on with you?" jace asked "nothing" malia said "this must be the jace vie heard so much about" valentine said. Malia was about to lunge but she remembered she's in another dimension, and according to that dimension she and clary have been living together for over a year and valentine was like a father figure
"Uh, yes, sir. Yes" jace stuttered "sir is for my father. Call me Mr, Morgenstern." Valentine said "okay" jace smiled and cleared his throat "uh, Val, this is, um, our song" malia said "oh, right. Nice to meet you" valentine said to jace"it was a pleasure to nice... uh, nice to meet you as well" jace said and malia laughed
Malia and clary went to walk off but jace grabbed Malia's arm "malia!" he called "what..." she asked "what's going on with you?" jace asked again "you ran away from me this morning, and you... didn't respond to my texts all day, and now you won't even dance with me?" "I'm sorry, okay? Really, I am I just... vie got a lot on my mind" malia replied, trying to get to clary who was waiting for her on the other side of the room "just one dance" jace pleaded
"Fine, okay. One" malia gave in "you got somewhere else to be?" jace asked as he pulled malia to the dance floor. Malia sent clary a look saying 'I'm sorry'. Malia placed both her hands onto jade's shoulders se then put her head on his shoulder whilst silently scoping around the room. Jace kissed her cheek then nuzzled his head into her shoulder

"What are we even looking for?" malia asked
"I'll know it when I see it" Magnus said as the group continued to search the walls "what if this doesn't work" malia said grabbing Magnus' arm, she was growing nervous and she loses control when she's nervous. He could feel her claws growing around his arm
She was so focused on trying to get them to go back she didn't notice that universes jace coming down the stairs "it will, biscuit. I can feel it" Magnus assured and malia could feel herself gaining some control. "you know, if you're having second thoughts about us, you could've told me, instead of coming down here and hooking up with some random guy" jace said, angrily
"Jace, this isn't exactly a good time" malia groaned "really?" jace questioned, you know when would be a good time for me, malia? Never. Never call me again" jace said with tears forming, malia went after him and suddenly a demon jumped down from above. Malia pulled jace out of the way then kicked the demon back
"What the hell is that thing?" jace yelled, obviously scared out of his mind "let's go" malia said, grabbing jade's hand and running. They stopped running and jace was gripping a shelf, trembling from what he had just seen "it's okay. It's okay" malia said softly, trying to comfort jace
Jace suddenly stooped trembling and malia lifted her hand from his shoulder. Jace looked at himself "jace?" malia asked "yeah?" jace answered "you okay?" he asked and malia let out a breath "thank god it's you"
"Mind filling me in?" jace from the demon killing dimension asked but before malia could answer the demon from before attacked him from behind "jace" malia yelled. She grabbed a broom stick and began to attack the demon with it; she knew her claws wouldn't kill it in this dimension. Malia was trying to hold it off but the demon was rather strong.
Jace began to fight it with a stick from a broken mop. Jace stabbed it in the stomach but the demon used one of its tentacle to bite jace. Malia slammed the stick across its face to send it backwards, jace started breathing heavily; "jace?" malia asked "oh, my god" jace dropped to his knees so malia did the same, trying to help him "its okay, its okay, breathe" she commanded
"where's my stele?" jace asked "its didn't come through with you" clary answered "your gonna need more than a stele for that" Magnus said, looking at the demon bite "will portaling him back to his own body cure him?" malia asked "no, blood travels with you, the demon venom is in his blood" Magnus explained "then we have to get him back to the institute in our dimension" malia growled "no, we gotta find valentine" jace grunted "jace, I like you but please, shut the hell up" malia growled
"I found it" Magnus yelled and malia helped jace up.

"You'll have to destroy the portal after we go through" jace said "why?" Magnus asked "to secure the dimension from all sides" jace said "if it stays open, you'll be vulnerable to demon attacks again"
Clary, malia and a near dying jace walked through the portal. Jace fell out of Malia's grip as they landed back in their dimension. "Its okay, it's okay. I'm here" malia tried to soothe him "no going back now" jace said. He grunted the traced his stele over his healing rune "Magnus was right, it's not working" malia said
"it's enough" jace said and malia helped him up "there's no one here" jace said as they looked around "did Meliorn lie to us?" clary asked "he said that, that portal would take us to my father" clary was cut of by the banging of a door. Malia flicked out her claws and the other two help up their seraph blades
"Get behind me" jace said to the two girls, he then opened the door to the locker type thing and inside there was a man "it can't be" jace breathed "you died, I saw it" "jace? "Malia asked "jace... is it really you" the man asked softly "how do you know this man" clary asked
Jace gripped Malia's hand with tears in his eyes "he's my father" jace breathed.
