XIV. ALTERNATE DIMENSIONS

"Once you arrive in the alternate dimension, you will assume the body of the clary in that world. Be aware, your alternate self could consume you if you let it" Meliorn explained "is there a way to not let it?" clary asked

Meliorn nodded "focus on the differences between that world and ours. Find someone or something to keep you grounded to this one" clary smiled and malia. Malia watched as the portal formed. A large red jewel began to glow in the centre of it.

Clary watch the malia and jace from the other dimension went over the side of the coffee truck, she then saw them kiss and thought about how she really wished that the ones from her dimension were here with her.

Meanwhile malia was holding jace's hand and thinking about clary "I'm sorry jace but I need to help her" malia said, jace nodded and pulled malia in for a kiss. Malia walked into the portal. She gasped as she landed in her body, she saw jace standing in front of her "jace, I need to talk to clary, okay its important" she rushed "I'll see you at the party tonight" he smiled "I'll see you then" malia waved and dragged clary from the Alec, Isabelle and Simon from that dimension "clary, it's me malia"

Clary let out a breath and hugged malia "god, I missed you" malia chuckled as clary said this "I was worrying my arse off, you better have missed me" malia smirked "we have to go see Magnus bane" clary said "wait, he's in this dimension?" malia asked "yeah, he does tarot card readings" clary said and malia nodded "let's go" malia grabbed clary's hand and they ran

"this man, has a strong hold on you" he continued "you feel a magnetic attraction to him that you cannot escape "tonight will define your relationship"

Malia and clary could both feel themselves getting locked into that universe, however they quickly snapped out of it "oh" Magnus chuckled "you hope he is your soul mate, but, secrets revealed will threaten to tear you apart" Magnus pulled a face. Suddenly a cat jumped down onto the table and malia let out a low growl

The cat soon squirmed "were not actually here for a reading, we know you're a warlock Magnus" malia said, clary now occupied the seat next to her "I'm a shadow hunter and malia is a were coyote" clary said as she leant forward on the table

Magnus let out a laugh "there are no more shadow hunters, haven't been for hundreds of years" "I can prove it" clary said, she then stood up and showed him her shoulder. Malia covered her mouth to stop a small laugh from escaping her "all I see, shadow hunter... is you could use a serious tan" Magnus smirked "he's not wrong, clary" malia said

"right, bad strategy, no runes in this dimension" clary said and picked up a drawing pad "we are from an alternate reality" clary said "if that were true... without an anchor, you'd be assimilating into this world" Magnus said malia scoffed "believe me, we are trying to fight it, which is why we need your help" clary turned the pad to Magnus so he could see what she had drawn

Magnus' eyes widened "in my dimension, shadow hunters still battle demons, and there is something so much worse" clary said "we need your magic to help me stop it" malia added, Magnus shook his head slightly then denied quickly " I can't help you. My magic's gone dormant "then wake it up" malia said as she stood up

"What's the emergency?" clary asked as she and malia stepped into Izzy's bedroom.
