Thexius was born into a peculiar race. He is a tiefling, a race that is rather ostracized by many peoples. Tieflings are half human and half demon. They are born with horns, a prehensile tail, and sharp teeth. They came from demons and devils who bred with a human and cursed their bloodline. Thexius has moon gray skin and often hides his horns within his hair. Tieflings often have a tendency to be of the evil alignment and are easily swayed by dark forces. They can see through the darkness and have high resistance to fire.

Thexius was abandoned at a young age without knowing any reason as to why. He grew up in a woods that always lingered in cool weather and autumn colors. He burrows in the leaves at night and hunted in the day. Every time he caught and killed a small animal, he would gaze in awe at its corpse. He couldn't help but be fascinated by it's lifeless carcass. Thexius would go on to eat his catch and go on scampering through the tall trees. Soon his attention focused on larger animals. One day he found an owl bear. Through his years of being in the woods, his connection with arcane magic strengthened. Using a crafted spear, he managed to fuse his power along with his weak physical strength to take down the beast. After doing so, he collected the corpse. Thexius sat and examined it, picking at it's flesh and bones. He stripped the meat and fat off of the owl bear and stored it in his leather sack for later. Thexius cleaned the bones and arranged them in many ways.

Thexius took out a book a stole from his father before he was left for dead in the dark woods. The book was titled, "Arts of the Arcane: Necromancy." He flipped through the book revisiting the coffee colored pages that had skulls, bones, and ancient script. His racial connection with demons allowed him to understand the infernal text. He began a step by step ritual from the book of talismans and incantations. He used a piece of charcoal he has to draw out symbols on stones and place them around the dead owl bear. He concentrated his magic and looked up at his corpse to see the result. The body was twitching and the muscles were moving, simulating life. No, it was not alive, just being stimulated by Thexius's magic. His magic was green and in the form of a controlled mist around the corpse. He couldn't hold it for long and the body ceased to animate.

Rather than jumping to the complex arcane magic, Thexius decided to prepare simpler spells. The first spell he learned, he attempted to cast at a dead rodent. A green spray of poison shot out of his hand and the rodent deteriorated from the liquid. Being successful, Thexius jumped in joy, expressing his contentment through his frantic actions. As time went on in the woods, he began preforming more spells. He summoned a skeletal hand that assisted him in gaining more arm reach and inflicting damage in a larger radius.

Thexius had become more powerful. He is draped in torn black rags. He held a tree stick that had turned twisted and black due to the magic infused in it. He had no problem hunting anymore, he simply casts his pulsing green magic at whatever obstacle came his way. Thexius began to enjoy this strength.

As Thexius walked through the woods he noticed smoke from afar. He went on to investigate to find out that it was coming from stone chimneys among a large town by the autumn woods. This was so strange to Thexius. He had never seen any other person for years. He figured that he could go into the town and introduce his powerful presence among the people. His feet scampered along the cobblestone walkway into the streets. He saw people, humans to be specific. He advanced closer to the people peeking at their apparel and distinct bodies. He locked his eyes on the closest person. This person happened to be a tall man with broad shoulders and a musky aroma. Thexius recoiled in disgust from the smell he gave off but leaned in close to gain some insight on the man. The man turned around surprised, noticing Thexius, and said "What th-" Thexius grabbed his arm and melted it with his necrotic magic.

The flesh of the mans arm dissolved, revealing down to the bone with his muscles protruded between Thexius's fingers. Everyone in the vicinity of this event were shocked. They screamed and shouted all the while Thexius was confused. Did he do something wrong he thought? They were all supposed to be impressed by this feat of arcane power. Men with silver armor and pointed hats marched towards Thexius and formed in a line infront of him. They exclaimed, "Come with us, you have committed a foul act and must be punished." Thexius didn't see any reason not to follow along with the guards.

Thexius was thrown into a cell for rehabilitation. He was clearly mental and socially inept.
