He told me he loved me he told me he would always be there for me he told me he would never hurt me but that was nothing but a lie I look in the mirror and see nun but a shell of my former self I hide the truth behind the makeup the clothes the fake smiles and laughs but on the inside I'm screaming as I drown deeper and deeper into the lies he told me I never saw myself as being a victim I use to strong I use to be independent until you came into my life you showed me that it's okay to lean on you that it was okay to depend on you every once and awhile I got comfortable and that's my fault I let my guard down and let you get close I can no longer recognize this person staring back at me she's a stranger as I walk from the bathroom back into the bedroom I see past memories playing like movie scenes the times you would come home drunk and strike me or when you assumed I was cheating I stayed curled up in a ball praying that things would change but they didn't every now and again my family and friends ask what's wrong but I always say nun voice sounding robotic how did I let things get to this point I lay in the bed as I begin to drift off but my mind plays back memories of the things you said to me just as I begin to get into a deep thought
Male: Yo what the fuck are you doing laying there ??
Girl: I just got out of the shower I'm gonna go to work today
Male: No The fuck your not I don't have for everyone to get all up in business that don't concern them your gonna take today off and your gonna clean this damn house as for me I'm gonna go to work bye *door slams*
And just like that he was gone I look in the mirror and begin to cry years of emotions flow down my face I use to love myself I use put myself first but ever since that day...... Everything has changed
