However, we didn't talk to each other much, she was more attached to Meliodas, and they basically hit it off. In fact, all I wanted was to keep him away from her because they were becoming so close-closer than us. But he was getting better the more we stayed, I couldn't help but hope nothing between them would start. After all, I had succumbed to the idea of being side by side with Meliodas, I had found out a week after we met Liz I had grown jealous of them.
I was tempted to tell Meliodas how I felt, but every time I'd get cut off and he'd act all innocent towards me, asking me to go back into the basement. Yes, I sleep in the basement, it's not that bad once you stay for a night or two. The basement had stone walls and four bright torches keeping the place light.
As for my room in there, I had a small bed that had multiple pillows and blankets, so I was able to make a pillow fort. I had pictures all around me with clean, wooden frames around them. They were all pictures me and Meliodas had in the past, since we were so keen on keeping our memories together in frames of "gold".
I had two desks beside my bed, there was a single scented candle lit in there. The candle smelt of cinnamon and I remember clearly that there was another one in Meliodas' and Liz's room, it smelt of roses and vanilla. It was meant for Meliodas, but he had taken the present as an advantage for him and Liz to get closer.
The idea of them both rotted me from the inside out, and it also made me feel happy that Meli was happy.
"Was"

The sky had become dark, chills were sent up townspeople's backs as the slightly warm breeze had become vicious winds. It didn't seem like a day for a storm, and that happened to be a good thing. "Y/n! Where are you going?!" Liz yells, her body trying to get used to the harsh draught like mine.
Many people had stopped to stare at me as I ran down the streets, as far as I could go with my thin legs. My dark green cloak whisked around, as if it were dancing to the rhythm of the cyclone.
Tears were streaming down my puffy cheeks and my normally peach-coloured skin had turned pale. My line of sight was wonky, although I could still run in a straight line due to my wings keeping my centre of mass together. Whatever I had just seen had cursed my once beautiful, vibrant E/c orbs.
I wanted to be angry at them both, so much! But the thought of Liz's regretful expression when she saw me watching them kiss for the first time had haunted my mind. As for Meli, he looked... Confused? It didn't seem like the expression fitted him for the situation. After all, Meliodas was a human, he should know how it feels when you betray someone so close to you. Especially when you kiss another woman and only just found out you hurt your best friend's feelings by doing that.
When I reached the border of the kingdom, while nobody else was looking, I whisked some air underneath me to fly up to the edge so I could look at the scenery. And up ahead was a beautiful area behind the dark grey clouds, the sunset peaking from above the glistening green hills. It had calmed me the most, but as soon as things grew quieter, I heard the familiar squawk of Wandle, our talking bird partner.
"Why so sad?" I turn towards Wandle with an unhappy glare. Instead of speaking with my normally humorous attitude-a sob escapes my lips. "I... I-I'm..." Honestly, I couldn't speak a word because of my endless sobbing and tears. What would they do with me once they find out? Will they give up with their little acts and throw me out for being their third wheel? What if they lock me in the basement and pretend I don't exist anymore?! Will I be the downfall in their... Relationship?
Before I knew it, I felt two different pairs of hands hold each of my shoulders. My head looks up at Meli and Liz, and my heart couldn't help but shatter. They looked at me with a crestfallen attitude while Wandle sat down on my lap and slept there. Meli holds up my cloak and sits next to me while under it, on impulse my left wing wraps around him so he couldn't stay cold, as did my right wing with Liz who had also copied Meli's actions. My tail, however, slips around my waist when I let out a small shiver.
In turn, Liz hugs my side and Meli puts his arm around my waist like my tail. Without noticing it, I began purring at the platonic affection they gave me. "We're sorry about earlier, it just... Happened and-!" "It's okay." I reassured them, my eyes closed and I decided to fall asleep.
'Cute', they both thought when they saw me snoring lightly. "Do you think she likes one of us? Like the way we like each other?" Meli inquires, pulling the dark green cloak over the rest of his body. Liz shakes her head, "Let's just pretend we never kissed earlier, it's the best for N/n right now."

The older the three grew, the stronger their bond became. It was until Danafor was about to go to ruin and Meliodas and Liz were forced to fight for their country against the demon clan. They both had no choice but to hide Y/n in the basement until the fight was over, although they couldn't determine whether they'd win the fight alive.
Before they had left Y/n for good, Meli promised they'd come back alive and well for her, and afterwards they would take her outside to go watch the sunset like last time. As Liz promised that if they came back she'd bake Y/n's favourite pie and buy her some new clothes or more scented candles for her room.
However, after waiting in the basement for a long time, Y/n grew tired and hungry-and so she broke the lock on the basement door to see how the fight was going. Instead of seeing Wandle and Meli at the table with Liz preparing that pie, she saw no more walls keeping the house intact and a deserted kingdom.
There was no more Danafor.
So where was Meliodas and Liz?

Hey!!! I'm not dead! XD
Terribly sorry for not updating for a long, LONG time! Usually I'm super busy coming up with ideas, and most times I'll get uninterested in Nanatsu No Taizai, but I decided I should at least finish this story, soooo-Ta-da! A chapter!
Oh yeah!!! I'll also be showing you guys a word count at the beginning and end of each chapter from now on! And if I ever manage to finish the story I'll add them all up and put it in the bio of the story. So that way I'll know how much effort I kinda tried putting into this work.
Word Count: 1788 (Minus the A/N)
