Old Friends

I took my daughter Aryanna into Claire's. She got her a pair of earrings, an iPod case, and 3 new headbands.
My name is Emily, I am 28 years old, I have an 8 year old daughter, Aryanna. 5 years ago me and her father broke up because of how he was treating us. He always had a beer in his hands.
I got to thinking as me and Aryanna got into my car and drove off. I was thinking about my old friends from high school.
"Mom what are you thinking about?" Aryanna asked

"Just some old friends" I said "Don't worry honey I'm fine"

Aryanna nodded. We pulled into our apartment complex and got out. We walked up to our apartment.
"Can I watch tv?" Aryanna asked as I walked into the kitchen area

"Of course" I smiled

She ran off into the living room and turned on the tv to the Travel Channel. She seems to be really into this show called Ghost Adventures. I have never seen it.
"Ugh he's so cute!" I heard Aryanna yell

"Quiet down goofball" I plopped down next to her "Who's cute?"

"Aaron" She said "You wouldn't know him?"

I got to looking at Aaron. He looked so familiar.
"Ana?" I said

"Yeah?" She asked

"What is Aaron's last name?" I looked at the tv closer

"Goodwin..." She told me "Why?"

"Because he looks like one of my friends from middle and high school" I told her "I've been talking to all of my old childhood friends lately since we moved here. He looks like one of them"

"Let me see your phone" Aryanna grabbed it and put in my passcode and began talking to my three main childhood friends

I grabbed mom's phone and typed in her passcode. I went to messages and went to her group chat.

Aryanna- I'm not Em.

Aaron- Mother?

Aryanna- Look, me and mom are watching this really cool tv show. Not trying to be awkward. Are y'all from Ghost Adventures?

"It's them" I said

Her phone rang
"Hello?" She said to her phone "Yeah?Yea sure that would be fun.. Thanks, I'll get ready.. Bye!"

Emily's Pov...
Aryanna handed me my phone back.
"Yep, it's them" She said to me

*ring ring ring* I looked down at my phone NickG would like to call...

I answered it
"Hello?"

"Emily?" Nick asked over the phone

"Yeah?" I said

"Hey! Me and the guys were wondering if you and Aryanna would like to hang out tonight at Zak's."

"Yea sure that would be fun"

*Nick gives Emily Zak's address*

"Thanks, I'll get ready" I said smiling

"Bye!"

"Bye!"

I hung up and looked at Aryanna
"I hate you, you little fart"

"Why?"

"Cause now we're going to Zak's house to stay for the night" I rolled my eyes

"I GET TO SEE AARON!" She yelled happily

"Yes" I laughed "You get to see Aaron. Now go dress nice and don't look like a hobo"

I wore a camouflage cropped hoodie, black leggings, and vans and with some camo. I done my hair and

We both walked out with all our things. We got into my car and drove off to Zak's house....
