Confessions: I LOVE "The Phoenix" by Fall Out Boy!

Winnie left because her mom was going on date with this guy neither of us liked and she needed to watch her 9-year-old sister, Violet. The moment Winnie left Alec came into my room and closed the door.

"What do you want now?" I said.

"I want you to give me a chance."

"A chance to for what?"

"For us to be friends again." He stated proudly.

"I don't think you can handle me." I said walking past him to open my door.

"What do you mean"can't handle you"?" He said trailing behind me.

"I mean I'm too good for you." I stated, jogging down the stairs.

"Fine, I bet that you can't even pretend to be friends with me for a month and I bet you can't bear to for me to live with you for that month."

"You wouldn't dare."

"Bet." He says holding his hand out, knowing I can't resist a bet.

It's been like that ever since we were little. That's how I fell out of a tree and broke my arm and how I almost drowned in a pool (we were seeing how long the other could how hold our breath and I refused to lose). I always hated when someone dared me to do something because then a switch flips in my head and I have to do. I'm like Ella from Ella Enchanted except I don't have a prince or any love interest.

Actually, if someone wrote a book about my life it would be extremely boring.

"Fine." I said firmly shaking his outreached hand.

"Let the games begin." He replied.

I'm pretty sure I just made a deal with the devil. No one can save me now.

A/N

So, I've been AWOL for a long time... I had a lot going on and a lot to sort out and I had been thinking of starting this book up again, but I never had the motivation to, until today. I was reading through chapters I had previously written and editing those and decided to start again.

I'm sorry I l know this chapter is pretty crappy, but the next one is definitely gonna be longer and (maybe) written better.
