~Alec's P.O.V~

Confessions: I can't believe she grounded me.

I can't believe her. She has the nerve to ground me and I've been here while she's going through her "five stages of grief".

She's still in denial because I saw her talking to air on his bed. I swear she's going crazy. She gets mad at me when I bring him up or even ask about how she's doing!

It's like she's going through all her "stages" at once. I have never heard of people having "stages".

I think she made it up.

When someone in my family dies it doesn't matter because either we weren't close or I've never heard of you in my life!

She can't justify her reasons for grounding me either. I was throwing a party to celebrate her last day of grief and made the mistake of forgetting to invite her to it.

I mean she's like the queen bee at school, what queen bee doesn't like to party. She didn't even let me explain my reasons for throwing a party.

You know what I'm gonna' do something about it. I'm gonna' confront her.

Pray for me.

I got up from the bed and began taking long strides to her room. I opened the door and knocked gently.

"What do you want?" she said already bored.

"You didn't let me justify my reason for throwing a party."

"Well, you're talking now. So, go on, peasant."

"I'm gonna ignore the fact that you called me a peasant and tell you why. I threw that party for you-"

"I believe that as much as believe the man on the moon." she interrupted:

"THAT HAPPENED!" I yelled.

"I THOUGHT YOU WERE HERE TO JUSTIFY A REASON NOT TO ARGUE WITH A GIRL THAT WATCHES SHANE DAWSON'S CONSPIRACY THEORY VIDEOS AND BELIEVES THAT SONY IS CONTROLLING THEIR ARTISTS."

"Okay, you can calm down and I'm going to tell you that I threw you a party because it was your last grieving day."

"Jesus Christ, that's the sweetest thing you've done for me since you proposed when we were 5." she said in awe.

"It would have been sweeter if you didn't say no."

"We were too young to get married. My dad would have killed you." I rolled my eyes as she said this getting closer to me.

"Maybe we can rekindle this friendship and get rid of my grounding," I said.

"I can take back your grounding. But you messed up when you dropped me, honey." she said holding on to my jacket. I looked down at her hands then back at her before she let go pushing me back all too quickly. I walked back to my room with a million thoughts swirling through my head.

I held on to his jacket a little too long. We stared at each other a little too long. We were too close to each other for much too long.

I need a new boyfriend. It's been so long since I've had one.

I closed my door after he left and called Winnie to catch her up on recent events and tell her to bring me pizza, Oreos, and cookie dough ice cream. She quickly agreed and when she came we binge watched Parks and Recreation on my computer.

A/N

I'm going to try to update more and make my chapters longer because right now they seem to short to me. I'm going to start writing the next chapter tomorrow. So, you'll be getting a new chapter sometime next week. But, I don't know I have a severe case of CPT.

CPT= COLORED PEOPLE TIME

COLORED PEOPLE TIME IS DOING/ SHOWING UP TO THINGS LATE OR REALLY EARLY. MOST COLORED PEOPLE SET THINGS FOR A EARLIER TIME BECAUSE THEY KNOW ALL THE COLORED PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE LATE. THIS IS A FACT I EVEN SHOWED UP LATE TO MY OWN BIRTHDAY PARTY.

You're welcome for the miny lesson. They don't teach these things in school (for a good reason).
