I woke up to the familiar sound of the song, Careful by Paramore playing loudly from the speakers of my alarm clock. A song I picked mainly to the fact that it faded in and didn't scare the crap out of me as it woke me from my slumber, and it was always nice to wake up to my favourite band. I managed claimed the bathroom before Harry could and spent a good half hour in there getting ready for school.

It must have been around eight o'clock or something once I went downstairs to the kitchen. I had to wait for Harry to give me a lift, because even though I was seventeen I didn't have a licence. After my first failed driver's test, I gave up, told myself I'd wait till I was eighteen before I tried again, and even then I wasn't really sure I would. Driving wasn't something that concerned me, but I also wasn't great at it, so it was easier to avoid it.

I was barely aware that Ringo was sitting on a stool at the kitchen bench, as I grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl on the kitchen bench, until I was alerted by his voice.

"Hey, Nina."

I spun around on my heels to face him and I felt like the air had been knocked out of my lungs. Drop dead gorgeous was what came to my mind. I mean, I could tell he hadn't done much since he had woken up, but that didn't change how unbelievable gorgeous he was. His brown hair stuck up in an old way, one that would've been unattractive on anyone else, but not on him of course.

"Nina?" he asked when I didn't answer.

"Sorry," I shook myself out of it, blinking a couple of times. Focus Nina.

"How are you?" he asked politely.

"Oh, good," I nodded. Expect for the fact that I just found out my best friend is gay and he's too afraid to tell anyone but me. "You?"

"Fine," he said quickly.

I had opened my mouth to speak but my phone suddenly went off. First thing that came to my mind was, how embarrassing it was. I knew who it was from the ringtone. It was stupid Justin Beiber singing 'baby, baby, baby ohhh,' but that was the joke of it. It was Hayley's ringtone and we both didn't like Justin Beiber, she just said that I would always know it was if that was her with that ringtone, but why did she have to chose one this embarrassing?

Mortified I picked the phone up and answered it, walking out of the room so Ringo couldn't hear me.

"This better be important, Hayley," I hissed into the phone.

"Whoa, who woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?" she demanded.

"Hayley, what do you want?" I groaned slightly.

I heard her giggle slightly before she spoke. "How are you getting to school?"

"Harry," I said quickly.

"Well, I'm about five minutes away, I'll pick you up," she offered.

"Okay... hey, wait, that means you're driving while on the phone, right?" I asked her.

"Yeah," she answered slowly. "So?"

"Frick, you could crash, Hayels, I'm hanging up," I told her.

"God, fine," she groaned and then hung up on me.

I pulled the phone away from my ear and rolled my eyes before walking back into the kitchen. Darn, I had almost forgotten Ringo was there.

"Sorry about that," I said smoothly to him. "That was just my friend Hayley, she... thought she'd make that song her ringtone, as a joke."

He laughed slightly. "It's cool."
