Chapter 4

Carter P.O.V.

"Hold still." Brianna told me as she wrapped my hand.

I had some cuts on my knuckles because I punched Aiden. When Brianna finshed she set my hand down on her lap.

"Now tell me why you were choking Aiden. You could have killed him! "

"He stepped out of line. He was talking crazy about my little sister Brianna. She died when she was eight from cancer. " I told her

"I'm sorry for your loss, but that still doesn't justify your actions Carter. Your mom lost one kid, how would she feel knowing your in jail for muder? " she asked me

"She and my grandmother would kill me before the police could get to me. " I told her

"Your mom and grandma sounds violent. " Brianna said to me

I laughed at that "Naw they pretty chill to be honest. They'd like you."

"Really?" Brianna asked me surprised

"Your the type of girl my mom likes. Smart, beautiful, ambitious, I could go on and on." I said, Brianna lookrd like she didn't believe me

"You think I'm lying?" I asked her

"No, it's just that. I'm not a well liked person. I've just gotten used to the idea of everyone, but my dad disliking me." she told me

"What about your mom?" I asked her. Her beautiful hazel eyes turned ugly with hate and sadness

"She walked out on my and my dad when I was eleven. Haven't seen her since."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be your not responsible for her choices. "

Brianna locked at the clock, in the nurses office.

"I am ten minites late for class. You sir have ruined my perfect attendance record."Brianna said getting up amd grabbing her stuff

"You've never been late to class before?" I asked her

"Nope."

"Ever skip?"

"Are you crazy my dad would kill me."

"Stayed at home sick?"

"I would be force to go to school with a pack of cough drops and box of tissues. "

We talked a little bit more as we walked with each other down to the office to get late passes.

"So why are you two late?" Mrs. Crane the Secretary asked

"His hand was bleeding and we went to the nurses office, so I could clean and wrap his hand." Brianns explained

I held up my wrapped up hand

"Were you in a fight Mr.Taylor?" Mrs.Crane asked me

"No, I stupidly punched a wall." I lied

She shock her head and wrote out passes. She handed us pass, they were marked accused. Brianna and I did a high five when no one was looking.

"See you around?" I asked her

She nodded her head yes "See you around Carter."

With that we went out seperate ways

Aiden's P.O.V

Ima get that hoe back for what she did. Did it look like I need to be saved. Making me look like I can't defend myself and shit.
