"So how'd it go?" Andy asked.

"Well, you, Ash, Kyle, Brendon, and I are all going to Taco Bell after school, then him and I are gonna hang out I guess?"

"Nice,"

"Yeah,"

I sat down where I usually sit, and no one sat next to me because I usually put my leg there, but then Brendon sat down next to me.

"Uh, hi?" I said, confused.

"Hey," he said, getting his phone out of his pocket.

"Why aren't you sitting with your friends?"

"Am I not allowed to sit here or something?" He said, starting to stand up.

"No- No, you can."

"Alright," He said, sitting back down.

"So.. how were your classes?" I asked him.

"Boring. This school is disgusting."

"Aw, like you!" I joked.

"Ha ha, very funny."

"I mean, it was kind of funny.." Kyle said.

"Shut up," Brendon said.

"Excuse me?" I said to him.

"I'm sorry for telling you to shut up, Kyle." Brendon said.

"It's all good." He said.

"Anyone want my food?" I asked.

"Nah," Andy said.

"I'm good." Ash said.

"No," Kyle said.

"Why don't you eat it?" Brendon asked me.

"I'm not hungry." I told him.

"Well damn, I'll give it to Dallon." Brendon said, taking my tray to Dallon, then coming back over here to sit down.

"I'm so fucking tired." I said, setting my arms on the table and then laying my head on them. Then I felt someone rubbing my back. I just assumed it was Brendon.

Then I got a text from someone, so I sat up, and Brendon kept rubbing my back.

?: hey, your brother gave me your number
J: i'm sorry, who is this?
JD: i'm sorry, it's josh. josh dun.
J: oh hey josh (: what's up?
JD: nothing really, i'm just talking to tyler and u
J: oh nice

"Who are you texting?" Brendon asked.

"Why do you care?" I asked.

"I was just wondering."

"Okay well, it's Josh. Josh Dun. Because someone," I said, looking at Kyle, "gave him my number."

"I just thought you two would be cute together." Kyle said.

"Maybe, you never know." I said.

"Me and you would be cuter, y'know.." Brendon told me.

Andy burst out in laughing and wheezed after he said that, which made me, Kyle, and Ash laugh because of his wheeze.

Brendon rolled his eyes. I looked at him up and down.

"I mean, maybe." I said, staring at him. "I think if he cleaned up his act, he'd have a chance."

"He'd have a what now?" Andy said.

"A chance. C'mon guys, maybe he isn't as bad as everyone says." I said.
