(Gajeel Redfox's point of view)
It was just a few days after Master Makarov announced the members that would partake in the S-class trials. I didn't expect Master to call my name, nor did he, it was clear that not everyone in the guild trusted me yet. That aside, I still wanted to go. I wanted to join someone who maybe would need my help.
I saw Levy, a petite woman with bright and beautiful blue hair, a script mage, sitting next to her team mates, Jet and Droy. She has a team called Shadow Gear and they go on jobs together. It's obvious that they are close and she'd pick one of them to join her, but I thought I would ask anyway.
I approached her, "Hey Levy."
She looked up, happily smiled at me and replied saying, "Yes, Gajeel"
I naturally smiled back and asked, "Have you decided who you are taking with you to the S-class trials? Oh- Congrats by the way."
She looked over to Jet and Droy who had been pestering her about it all that morning. then she looked back over at me and said, "Well, no, not yet, but I'm definitely not taking either of those two they'd distract me the entire time." then she giggled a little.
I laughed a little too, her laughter is so contagious. I then asked, "In that case, can I come? I mean your so sm- I mean petite, you might need assistance from a big and tough man to assist you, wouldn't want you to get hurt and lose the opportunity to become S-class, now would ya?"
"Well, when you put it that way I guess I can't say no."
"Levy, I promise I won't let you down."
I thought to myself, I didn't expect that after what I did. I almost killed her, and she let me join her instead of her teammates. I'll make sure no one will come in harms way.
