"You don't understand Mahi!"
"What I don't understand Karan?"
Karan clutched his hair tightly in his palms.
"She cheated on dad claiming that ..that he never had time for her .. He was working hard to provide all the luxury and yet , yet she left him. For what ? Love? Huh... "
"Sometimes we are so in love with someone that we are unable to see what's right or what's wrong. Love is just like that immature and irresponsible." Mahi replied in such soothing tone that for once Karan wanted to believe her.
Suddenly he started laughing "immature and irresponsible? No love is selfish . Just like my mother . "
"Love is selfless Karan."
"Then why Mahi ? Why ? Did she leave ME ? Why? Did she not love me? Leaving a 8 year old behind is selflessness?"
"She must have some reason behind it." Again Mahi tried to reason and justify it.
"Fine . I got that her reason was that she wanted my dad's attention . But what about me? ... You know what Mahi she was nothing but attention seeking whore." Karan angrily exclaimed.
"If she was an attention seeking whore then what are you? You claim that love is not in your dictionary ! you claim that you do not care about anyone ! you say that one night stand is better than long term commitment!
But guess what Karan, you love your parents, if not, then you would not be hurting; you took care of your friends when they need you; you hate one night stand because they are not satisfying you at least not anymore and lastly you are that attention seeking manwhore ; you get drunk and high making your parents worried , you show off your father's wealth and if you say that your mother was attention seeking whore then you are a bloody hypocrite." Mahi said everything in one go without any pause leaving a stunned Karan.
No one said anything to anyone and it was like the calm after storm where both of them left in the wake of their own thoughts.
