John Laurens was gay.  That was the simplest way to put it. He hadn't found any particular interest in any girls since the fourth grade, and now that he was 16, there was no way he was going back. There was one small issue though, his parents were literally homophobic demons who showed no mercy what-so-ever. Okay, maybe his mom wasn't as bad, but she would stick by Johns father, Henry, no matter what, whether it was out of fear or love, John didn't know. One thing is for sure, he would not be coming out any time soon or in the near future, so the world would just have to wait for it.

Alexander Hamilton had barely survived the first 17 years of his life.  When he was 10 his father split when the family was dept ridden. Alex, his brother James and his mother were left with nothing and were barely surviving. The hurricane that came  a year later did nothing to help the situation and ended up taking his brothers life, leaving Alex and his mother devastated. If things weren't as bad as they could get, both him and his mother fell sick and Alex was left an orphan by age 12. He lived with his cousin, Peter for 5 years until he committed suicide. Now Alex was headed to Mepkin Abbey, South Carolina to move in with his new foster family the Washingtons. He was going to take control of his life and he was not throwing away his shot this time.

**Johns POV**

"John. John. John. John. John. John."

John rolls over to see his little brother James shaking the bed.

"James I literally will kill you if you keep waking me up on the weekends" he says annoyed, but proceeds to awaken and get out of his bed, reluctantly. He looks at his alarm '10:39' i could have gotten AT LEAST 3 more hours of sleep

"Mom says you have to come downstairs, apparently she has someone for you to meet" he then proceeds to run of screaming "MARTHA I TOLD HIM YOU OWE ME A COOKIE NOW" really Martha? You're so lazy that you send James to talk for you?

I look outside the window to see the Washingtons walking over with someone I had never seen before. George Washington was a business associate of my fathers so they came over often. I didn't know how someone as nice as George could be friends with someone as abusive as my father but here we are. I toss on my turtle hoodie and a pair of light wash skinny jeans, put my hair in a messy bun, and head downstairs before my parents come to get me themselves. I make sure to hide my sketchbook before leaving because lord knows what they would do if they saw me drawing. Its almost as bad as them finding out that i'd rather date Anthony Ramos than Phillipa Soo.

Running down the stairs, I see that the Washingtons had already entered with the mysterious stranger and were now sitting on the couch. "John, its good to see you" George notions for me to sit down. The stranger suddenly looks over at me and I freeze. WHO. THE. FLYING. TURTLE. IS. THAT. HANDSOME. MAN. A boy about my age makes direct eye contact with me, he has deep violet-blue eyes and straight dark hair that is pulled into a ponytail. I don't even realize i'm staring until "John. Why don't you sit down" my father grits through his teeth. I can tell he is already pissed off at me. Fantastic.

"Yeah sorry," I mutter and move to the couch across from the Washingtons and the beautiful stranger.

"John, we'd like for you to meet our new foster son, Alexander Hamilton. Alex this is John Laurens, he is a year younger than you, but i'm sure he will be happy to help you out. Wouldn't you John?" I knew he was talking, but nothing was keeping my eyes off Alex. He was literally the most beautiful human being I have ever seen. give it up john he's probably not even gay. Alex must have realized I was staring and looked over, WTF ARE YOU DOING JOHN STOP BEING AWKWARD. I quickly blink and look away, blushing, if my parents say that I would actually be murdered, but they seem to not have noticed. I look over at George realizing he wanted an answer.

"oh sure, i'd be happy to George."

"Thank you so much John" says Martha, his wife, and then directs her eyes to my parents, "You're lucky to have such a sweet boy, i'm sure him and Alex will make great friends." I can tell my parents are clearly mad at that response but they smile, dismiss it and proceed to talk business with the Washingtons. Alex and I proceed to make on and off eye contact and occasionally smirks at me, making me blush even more. Eventually, George stands up and says they have to leave to finish up helping Alex settle in. PLEASE NO DON'T LEAVE.

"WAIT," I basically scream and they all stop and stare at me *internally facepalms* , "Alex, whats your number, I could introduce you to some of my friends later today". please please please

"Sure, sounds good," Alex replies, doing a little smirk/smile thing. My parents glare at me, but smile when they realize the Washingtons think its a good idea. My father basically worships George so he can get a promotion at work. Alex hands me a paper with his number on it. omg even his handwriting is perfect.

"Okay well we should head off, thanks again John," They exit and I immediately run up to my room and add Alex's number into my phone. I proceed to then scream into my pillow like a 12 year old girl who just got a text from her crush. how does this boy have me helpless?
