Prologue:

Rose Devlin ended her day off as she always would, walking along a road by herself in complete utter darkness not knowing where to go. Ever since she found out what she was she's been through something she would describe worse then anything she could think of at the time. As Rose walked in the darkness a bright light headed her way, as she turned her head she noticed the car and felt herself get hungrier. She was afraid that she would get out of control as the aroma of human blood filled her nose. "Don't give in Rose" she thought to herself as she saw the car slow down as it got closer. When her eyes focused she noticed who was in the car and took a breath of relief. Ellis Wilson stopped the car and ran to Rose with worry in his eyes and pulled her into a hug "Rose..where have you been." He mumbles as he hugged his best friend of four years and rose rested her head against his shoulder "it's been two days...I was worried, I thought they found you" he said as he was holding her in the warm embrace. "they didn't...I just needed to get away for a minute" Rose whispered as she relaxed into his arms. The people hunting her where supposedly guardians of this world, she didn't understand why they were hunting her in particular what had she done. As she was still in the arms of her best friend she could hear the beating of his heart and could smell the blood in his veins "E.." she said in a hushed tone as she pulled away from him, her once bright emerald eyes darkened with hunger. Ellis looked at her and understood "When was the last time you ate" he asked as he kept his distance, he wasn't afraid but he knew if he came closer Rose would run. Rose had never fed off anyone and killed them, she would only drink from blood bags that Ellis would bring home for her from his job at the hospital. He looked at her "let's get you home and fed...okay?" He said as he got closer and held her hand to calm her. Rose nodded in agreement and got into the car, her eyes still dark with hunger. Rose was Wild with adventure, dangerous because of what she could become, beautiful with her strawberry blonde hair and emerald eyes, elegant with her graceful persona, kind because she was, scared of everything, hunted for no reason, and a fighter for the ones she loves. Rose is a good person who had a terrible thing happen to her. As she looked out the window and Ellis drove his back to their apartment she couldn't help but want her life to go back to the way it was when she didn't know she was a vampire.
