You stood looking at your open wardrobe, trying to decide what to wear this evening. It was Adam's birthday and you wanted to look hot. Over the weeks he'd been on tour with 5 Seconds of Summer he'd grown close to the boys and now inevitably they were invited to the party he was throwing. "You know he's going to be there tonight, right?" Your friend Lizzy asked looking at you through the mirror. "Mhm." You responded, taking a swig from your beer. "Don't act all chill with me, I know you're freaking out inside." She laughed, turning round, pointing her mascara wand at you. It'd been 2 months since you'd spend that lust-filled night with Luke, 2 months since you'd walked out in the early hours of the morning whilst he slept without leaving as much as a phone number or note. You'd pictured his face when he woke up alone in the morning to an empty bed over and over. "Ugh, fine. I don't know how to feel. I mean like, Luke was the best sex I've ever had and I feel so guilty about leaving. But what else was I supposed to do? It's not like anything more would've come of it." You huffed laying down on your bed. "You don't know that." Lizzy responded, raising her eye brows at you.

You arrived at Adam's house around an hour ago and thankfully there was still no sign of Luke; it wasn't that you didn't want to see him, it was more that you didn't know what to say when you did see him. Ever since that night he'd consumed all of your thoughts, the way that he made you feel, the way he touched you, the he made you make sounds no one else had. It didn't help that their music was always on the radio either, acting as a constant reminder of your regret. You made your way towards the kitchen to grab another beer, sighing as you saw the bottle opener situated on the top shelf of his cupboard. "Why the fuck would someone leave that up there?" you muttered to yourself as you reached, standing on your toes to grab it. Suddenly, you felt a body press up against your back pinning you to the counter, a hand reached above your head grabbing the bottle opener. "Hello Princess." the body mumbled behind you, the vibrations making your whole body tingle. Your breath hitched in your throat as the body turned you around, handing you the bottle opener. "Hi Luke, I have seen you since-", "Since you walked out on me in the middle of the night?" He asked, cutting off your pathetic excuse of a greeting, his eyebrows raised slightly as he looked at you with amusement. You looked at him dumbfounded, before you laughed subtly, "Yeah, that sounds about right." You chuckled back awkwardly, very aware of his body holding you against the counter. His hand landed on your waist, fingers dancing along your skin as he looked down at you. "Why'd you do it?" He asked, gazing intensely into your eyes, he looked almost hurt. "Can we not do this now?" You exhaled, avoiding his eye line. He sighed, loosening his grip on your waist, allowing you enough room to escape.

You sat plucking blades of grass from the deserted garden, the sounds of the party emanating through the walls of the house. You sighed as the sound of the patio door opening dragged you from your one-man pity party. You turned to see a sheepish-looking Luke stood at the other end of the garden. You smiled curtly at him as he made his way over, hands in his pocket. "I'm sorry." You muttered as he finally reached you, sitting down on the grass next to you, his touch feeling electric against your skin as your knees brushed against one another's. "It's ok, I just wanted to know why you left." He smiled back, his hand landing on your thigh. "I left because I knew if I stayed longer I wouldn't want to leave at all." You stated, an uncomfortable silence falling on top of you. You gazed at Luke's face as he looked back towards the party, deep in thought. He inhaled deeply before opening his mouth to speak. "You know, I haven't stopped being able to think about you since that night," He stated matter-of-factly, his stare returning to your eyes, "It was the best sex I've ever had." He chuckled, making butterflies erupt in your stomach. "Same." You choked out, in an attempt to remain as calm as possible. "What would you have done if I stayed?" You blurted out, curiosity getting the better of you. He looked down at you for a second, a small smile playing at his lips, "Gone for round too," He mused, his fingers floating up your leg till they were playing with the hem of your skirt, "taken you out for breakfast, gotten to know you." You smiled, regret bubbling in your stomach, everything he was saying was your idea of heaven. You leaned into his touch, your hand resting on his chest. "And I guess I fucked that up, didn't I?" You mumbled, looking up towards him. He laughed a little, the vibrations transferring through your hand. "A little, yeah," He paused for a second, before looking down at you, a smirk plastered on his face, "But you're here now," he stated, pushing your shoulders gently so you were laying down. "Alone." He continued, crawling so that he was hovering over you. You inhaled deeply, aware of his face being inches from your own. A small moan escaped your lips as your urged him to continue. "And I couldn't think of a better time to get to know you." He finished, bringing his lips down to yours, capturing them in a deep, heated kiss that you knew wouldn't be your last.
