Chapter Thirty-One

This chapter actually wasn't part of the plan, but since all of you guys were asking for it, here it is!

  "Guys!" I hissed at Jack and Raf as we waited for the Autobots to pick us up after school.

  "Why are you whispering?" Jack asked and I immediately shushed him.

  "Because Amanda is right there talking to a teacher," I pointed over my shoulder. "And she told me not to make a big deal of this."

  Raf made a face. "Big deal of what?"

  "She's fighting Optimus!"

  "What?!" They both exclaimed and I shushed them.

  "What do you mean, she's fighting Optimus?" Jack demanded.

  I rolled my eyes. "Don't look so shocked. She told me she's been practicing fighting Cybertronians with her powers and that she wasn't going to be at the base today because her and OP were having a full on duel."

  He gave me a suspicious look. "Why are you telling us?"

  "Because," I sighed. "We're going to watch!"

  "Uh, Miko," Raf started. "Shouldn't we ask Amanda before we decide to watch?"

  I shook my head. "I already asked and she said no. I think it's because she's self-conscious to be honest, but she has no reason to be! I saw her fighting Arcee the other day and she was so good!"

  The boys looked impressed, so I continued.

  "What do you say we tell our Bots and go watch?" I said. "Amanda already gave us full access to her house, we can get in no problem!"

  Now they exchanged a weary look.

  "But what if the security system acts up?" Raf asked.

  I thought for a moment. It was a valid concern, but I threw it out. "It won't. And if it does, our Bots will be there to protect us." I glanced over my shoulder to see Amanda finishing up with that teacher. "What do you guys say?"

  "I'm in," Raf said and we both turned to Jack, who sighed.

  "Alright," He said. "I'm in."

  Good thing too. Amanda had just reached us, chirping a greeting and sitting down next to me. The others started talking amongst themselves, but I still had one more person to ask. Looking around, I tried to spot Finn then finally saw him talking with one of the football players.

  "What are you looking for?" Amanda asked, catching me in the act.

  "Finn," I admitted. "I, uh, need to ask him something real quick." With that, I got to my feet and bolted to him before she could catch my expression. Luckily, Finn saw me heading towards him and wrapped up his conversation with the football player.

  "What's up?" He asked, reading my expression.

  I made a face. "How'd you-"

  "You had 'I have a question' written all over your face," He said matter-of-factly, causing me to stick my tongue out at him.

  "Okay, fine. I wanted to ask if you wanted to join me and the boys at Amanda's place. She's fighting Optimus and we want front row seats."

  He raised an eyebrow. "Why are you asking me this? Actually, no, I have a better question. Are we allowed?"

  I shrugged. "Amanda didn't technically say no... besides, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity! When's the next time you'll get to see this epic battle?"
