"ooh I know! make it black themed, just to spice it up and make things a little different. you can even have crows instead of doves" Tiana suggested and I raised my eyebrows at her. she turned to see my facial expression and immediately flashed a questioning look. 

I laughed and shook my head. "black is a great colour and all but let me remind you that its a wedding, not a funeral" I said and she shrugged. 

"fine. I'll save that idea for my wedding one day" she smiled. all this wedding talk has got me feeling a little old for some reason. my parents got married in their 30s and I'm here about to get married at 22 years old. I never dreamt that I'd be this scared for a wedding that is happing in a month, but it's my wedding that is. I just hope nothing goes wrong before that day nor on that day. "let me see that ring again" Tiana begged and I lifted my hand out

May gasped the loudest and then slapped Ethan's shoulder. "take notes" she demanded causing Ethan to roll his eyes. 

"I'm not as extra as joey. no one can be" Ethan stated as May glared at him

"Joey got Rose a 3000 dollar engagement ring and all you get me is a cheap pandora ring which is so 2016" she complained in a whine. Ethan looked at her with a raised eyebrow 

"so you're telling me my love for you is not good enough compared to a ring?" Ethan questioned and May shook her head continuously 

"of course your love is good enough. its just..." may glanced down at the ground then shut her eyes. "never mind" she sighed and bit her lip

"okay..." Ethan's voice trailed off, raising a brow at her in confusion. he then cleared his throat awkwardly. "I'll be back. I said I'd meet joey at Alex's place. we'll all be here soon" he excused himself before he left the cafe. 

"what was that all about?" karla asked May who was frowning. 

"I want to marry him. it's just...I keep getting my hopes up, you know?" she responded whilst playing with her fingers. "I've been waiting for years and now you and joey are engaged. I'm always wondering if Ethan even wants to marry me. I drop hints everywhere and always have high hopes that he would think the same thing. but it almost seems like he's blind and oblivious" she sighed and then pouted

"I really want to ask him...but I'm scared he'd say no" 

"why would he say no? you're amazing" Karla cooed, rubbing her back

"yeah. a-May-zing" I snorted and everyone looked at me. sorry.  I couldn't resist

Joey's Pov 

"who puts milk before cereal?" Ethan furrowed his eyebrows at Alex who was pouring milk in a bowl. "and who eats cereal at night?" he added as Alex rolled his eyes

"who doesn't?" Alex shrugged as he grabbed some corn flakes from the cupboard

"are you crazy? what if you had put too much milk first?" Ethan scoffed

"I wouldn't mind. I like milk" Alex replied, calmly but Ethan however didn't seem at all calm

"wait...so do you drink milk as a drink just randomly" Ethan asked after he banged his hands on the counter in frustration.
