Marcus clung to Cole, ensuring he was out of others' reach. William followed close, his concern for his friend evident. The allure Hope held over him was puzzling, especially since she had caused chaos and even harmed his friend. Her attempt to charm Cole into buying her dinner only added to William's confusion. In contrast, Alisa's kindness and sincerity shone brightly. When they reached their cars, William had to part ways to get into his own vehicle.

"Marcus, I need to head home! Please look after Cole for us, okay? It seems something's come up back home," Williams says with regret as he reads the message from his father. He had truly hoped to help soothe Cole and ensure he was ok.

"Go ahead, I'll take good care of him; there's no need to worry," Marcus replies softly. William nods and heads straight home, his mind preoccupied with concerns about his house. Marcus carefully positions Cole in the passenger seat and secures the seatbelt. He tenderly strokes Cole's cheek and plants a soft kiss on his forehead.

"It'll be alright Cole I will not let anyone hurt you ever. I don't know why you gained this phobia but whoever hurt you will not see another day once I find them" Marcus comforts Cole. Without finishing by saying starting with your ex whoever it is. Cole continues his act of shock and doesn't answer he just continues to shiver.

[Zero you are amazing both Marcus and William are resenting heroine. Now you need to find the two lovers to be with. Someone they truly love and want to be together with for the rest of their lives]

"I know that I will make sure they end up with someone they love" Cole answers Leon with a bit of discomfort in his heart. For a weird reason, he didn't like the thought of giving Marcus to another.

Marcus glances occasionally at Cole who it seems he is lost in thought. Marcus couldn't help but think that Cole was thinking about the person or thing that caused his phobia. His grip tightens on the steering wheel in anger and shame. He should've known about his phobia about his ex. They are friends and maybe in the future more than that. He shouldn't have let that slut touch his partner.

Marcus finally made it to his home and drove into his parking lot. He gets down and opens Cole's door. He gently scopes Cole up and carries him bridal style towards his room. Marcus gently placed Cole on his bed, and he then sat next to him.

"Cole listens to my voice you're ok. I'll protect you no matter what, as long as I'm here I will always protect you." Marcus softly says while running his fingers through Cole's delicate hair. Marcus finally understood why he felt awkward around Cole before. At first, he thought it was because he was being used. It was because, ever since their first meeting, he found himself gradually falling in love with Cole.

"Marcus where are we" Cole weakly answers acting like he finally regained a bit of control. Marcus smiles widely, and Cole trusts him enough to protect him.

"My bedroom" Marcus answers, Cole looks around curiously. Marcus thought that he looked like a kitten who just entered a new home.

"I should head home. Thanks for everything, Marcus; I appreciate all you've done. My sister must be worried sick. I'm so sorry for ruining our get-together; I didn't think someone would dare to touch me. I should have told you and William about my phobia," Cole apologizes, now completely calm.

"No need I promised your sister that I would take care of you. Just rest okay as long as you're alright everything else can be forgiven. Even if you caused me to lose an arm I would forgive you as long as you're okay" Marcus states gently. Cole couldn't help but feel a warmth in his heart once he heard those words.

"Do you want some pajamas? I can let you borrow one of my pairs even if they are slightly bigger. Just tell me what you want, and I'll deliver think of me as your faithful partner forever" Marcus continues. Cole nods for the PJs but is unsure of the faithful partner. Marcus gets up and grabs him a pair of pajamas.

[Zero!! The love of meter of Marcus maxed out. His love is overflowing!] Leon screams in panic as he looks at the data.

"What is a love meter?" Asks Cole unsure of what that is.

[It tells me about the people here. Each person has two meters for people. The hate or love meters. Marcus love meter for you is overflowing. The limit is 100 but it's reaching higher. No one has reached it nor overflowed it before. This man how can he love someone so much? Even when the heroine gets together they usually only around 60-80 on the meter]

"He truly loves me? He won't betray me?" Asks Cole a bit wistfully imagining someone fully devoted to just him.

[Yes he truly loves you. It's most likely that you would betray him then him betraying you]

"I cannot fall in love in the next life he won't be with me. What's the point?" Cole says a bit depressed. He wanted to be loved but once Marcus is gone he'll be left with no one.

"Cole, are you alright?" Asks Marcus gently when he sees Cole become sad. His heart ached but he could only ignore it to comfort Cole.

"Hn" Cole responds coldly with a frown. Marcus frowns as Cole puts up his walls again. He couldn't help but wonder what happened to make him this way.

"Cole tell me your story after you are done changing alright? I want to understand you better," Marcus asks gently as he hands Cole the pajamas.

"Are you sure you want to hear that? It's a very long and complicated story. Marcus if I tell you, you can't tell my sister at all. Promise me alright right" Cole explains to Marcus. As he gets up to heads to the bathroom to change. If he stays there to change he will be eaten.

"I promise I won't tell another soul!" Marcus immediately responds determinedly. He can finally find out who hurt him. Who made his future partner become so guarded?
