I don't own anything except the plot.
Percy PoV
We were celebrating, having just won out against Saturn's armies at Mount Othrys, when the Olympians flashed in.
"Perseus Jackson," my father, Neptune, bellowed. "I hereby disown you."
"What? Why?" I asked.
"YOU DARE ACT AS THOUGH YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING YOU LECHEROUS SPY," Jupiter thundered.
"I am no spy, I can't even decide what I want for breakfast, how could I decide that I wanna work for someone who is clearly evil when I already am getting everything I could ever want. If you want to really get rid of me that bad then go ahead, just remember that it's your fault I'm not gonna be fighting on your side in the next war." I stated. This shocked all of the gods. Next war? In his lifetime? He can't be serious. Jupiter, however, used this as proof of me being a spy.
"IF YOU ARE NOT A SPY THEN HOW DO YOU KNOW THERE WILL BE ANOTHER WAR DURING YOUR LIFETIME," Jupiter bellowed, always so dramatic.
"Lady Chaos visited me last night in a dream and gave me a warning about it, and told me I would have to choose to protect you or not. After this I don't know that I want to." I yelled.
"We should put it to a vote, father," Lady Diana said, looking somewhat worried.
"Very well," Jupiter said, "all in favor of letting Perseus live freely with the only punishment being exile from Camp Jupiter."
Diana, Minerva, Mars, Apollo and Mercury voted on this option and I looked at them gratefully.
Jupiter continued, "All in favor of sending him to Tartarus." All of the other gods raised their hands. "You have ten minutes to say your farewells." And with that the gods that voted to send me to Tartarus flashed out.
"We're so sorry Perseus, we did everything we could," Diana started, "the only other thing we can do is one of us can adopt you so that at the very least you are still a demigod while down there."
"Yeah and it would make the most sense if you adopted him since the moon has a small amount of control over water, with work he could become just as strong with that as he was before," Apollo stated.
"Let him decide, Apollo," Minerva replied.
"Apollo is right, Lady Diana makes the most sense," I stated.
"Very well." Diana started, "I, Diana, goddess of the hunt, moon and childbirth, hereby adopt Perseus Achilles Jackson, former son of Neptune, as my son."
"Thank you, milady," I said.
"Please Percy, you are my son now, call me mom," she replied.
I paused, "Okay... mom."
She smiled a bit before breaking down and latching on to me, "My first and only son is being sent to Tartarus for a crime he didn't commit, why is fate so cruel," she managed out between wails of sorrow.
"Don't worry mom, I'll be back before the war. Chaos already decreed it," I said, trying to calm her down a bit.
"Here Percy, we made these for you," Apollo said, handing me a necklace, a watch, and a ring.
"What are they," I asked.
"If you tap the necklace, the most badass armor in the universe appears on you," Mars said.
"If you tap the watch, it becomes an amazingly beautiful shield," Minerva continued.
"And if you twist the ring, it becomes any weapon you want, any ranged weapons have unlimited ammunition," Mercury finished.
