"What would happen if like all the lights went out? Like all the power of the lightbulbs extinguished." I look up at my boyfriend, who is now currently texting someone with a huge grin on his face.

After a couple of seconds, he locks his phone and looks at me. "What?" He asks. I sigh and close my eyes again. Only seconds later his phone vibrates again. I open my eyes once again and look at his stupid grin, again.

"Who are you texting?" I ask out of curiosity.

"No one." He simply says without glancing at me.

"It's obviously someone if you can't stop smiling."

"Oh my god. Are you jealous again?" He says in frustration and put his phone in his pocket.

"Again? I haven't been jealous before, and I'm most likely not now." I say confused.

"Rebecca" he reminds me.

"I wasn't jealous of her?" I halfhearted laugh. Ok, no more fun then. I raise from my lying position and get up.

"Where are you going?" He continues his frustration.

"Home. It's late and I have work tomorrow." I tell him, starting to walk towards the car.

"Are you mad now?"

"Chris, I'm not mad at you just because I want to go home. Please." I don't turn, but hear his footsteps closing into me.

Me and Chris have been together for almost a year now, but we've had our ups and downs. Two months ago he slept with Rebeca who was my only friend at the current work. I don't know. He's a lot but he's kind to me. It was all great at the start.

As we arrive at my place, he tries to give me a kiss, but I turn and let him kiss my cheek instead.

"What's up?" He asks annoyed, sitting back in his seat.

"Nothing. I'll text you tomorrow or something." I say to him and get out of his car. Instead of waving at him, like normal couples would do, I walk right inside, not turning.

I place the house keys on the kitchen counter and sit down by the bar stool placed in front of it.

"Hey!" Kim shouts hopping onto the couch. "What have you been up to?" She asks, resting her head at her popped up hand.

"Nothing special. Hanging out with Chris and stuff. You?"

"Watching Netflix as always." She says. "Hey, would you join me next week on this interview I'm having?" She asks me.

"Uhm, why?"

"Long time since you've joined me."

"Who are you interviewing?" I ask her.

"You're not gonna like this, but 5 Seconds of Summer." She smiles folding her hands. I give her a disapproving look. "Oh please please please." She begs.

"You know I don't want anything with them to do," I tell her.

It's been 5 years since the boys left us in Sidney. Me and Kim never parted. 2 years ago, we decided to move to America, for studying and to get away from the country.

I haven't really given a thought about Ashton since I last met him. Me and Kim went to one of their concerts in Sidney a couple of years ago, but when we were going to meet them, they blew us off, leaving us alone for a long time with the guards. They had left for the night after us standing and waiting for them for 2 hours. Michael lost touch with Kim and their parents split.

So instead of moving to LA, where we were meant to move, we moved to Chicago. Kim had some friends here who could help us find a new apartment. It has been great. We went to LA for a couple of days, when Kim had to interview some of the people at Jingle Ball. I joined, got to meet, or at least see, artists I've always looked up to. It was great for a weekend, but I really love Chicago. It has grown on me.

"I know, I don't want to go there either, but I'm so close to a promotion, and if I blow this thing off, Garry will get the promotion, and I won't let that happen. Just please come. You don't even have to meet the guys, just join." She continues begging.

"Ok. When is it?" I give in.

"Next Tuesday."

"I'm going to the movies with Chris." I lie. He's going to the movies with his friends.

"Oh my god, no. You're coming with me. I'll talk to Chris and tell him to go with you on Wednesday." She says and walks over to the fridge. She searches through the racks but closes it seconds later. "We need food!" She sighs and settles down on the couch again.

"Ok. I'll come with you, but I don't want to talk to the guys, got it?" I warn her before getting up.

"I promise, you won't have to see the guys." She says holding up her hands.

I nod and walk over to my room. I don't know if I want to see the boys or not. We haven't talked in years, but I heard from Ashton's sister that they were different. They weren't the same guys as they were before moving to LA. Maybe I am different as well? Whatever, I'm pretty sure I don't want to meet him. It would've been too hard if he let me down or said something he shouldn't have. I'll just come and wait for Kim.

(ok, so here's the sequel. Sorry for making you wait so long for this. haha, it's been two years. I have really been struggling with writing, but thank you for being patient with me. love yall <3
And also for new readers, I recommend reading my first book before reading this. You'll understand more.)
