Welcome to the first annual Fantasy Balloon Awards 2018!
It's quite a mouthful, I know, so go ahead and shorten it with the FBA 2018.
In case you're not already aware, this is an awards competition for only fantasy novels!
I'm your host (and only judge for the competition), SeaSpree ! I decided to start this awards competition because I love the Wattpad writing awards! And of course, it would be an opportunity to acknowledge all the talented fantasy writers out there.
So Here's How It Works:
30 total entries. 3 rounds. 3 final winners (with perhaps special awards in the works).
Round One — The Conventions Stage: Prologue/Chapter One
Grammar and spelling! If there's too many mistakes and/or slip-ups, you are out!
Round Two — Prologue/Chapter One
Presuming there are 10 or more people left, this round will commence. If there are less than 10 people left, all participants still in the competition automatically advance to Round Three, or the Finalists Round.
Round Two is simple: I read your first chapter. I judge. Top 50% advance.
Finalists Round — X Chapters
I have no idea how many chapters I'll read. Enough to adequately get an idea of how the remaining entrees will be ranked.
Submissions close July 20th, or when all 30 slots are full.
Submissions will be judged on a rolling basis. That means you enter Round One the moment you submit your form. By doing so, I can ensure this awards competition advances as quickly as possible.
