Cramped, stuffy, and loud. I guess that's to be expected in an airplane.

I sigh, grumbling towards my seat as I hear the annoying screams and cries of somebody's kid. After slowly shuffling down the line, I arrive at my sanctuary for the trip.  Putting my carry-on up with my only luggage. I slump down taking my seat by the window, isolated in my aisle.

Looking out the window I can see we are starting to move towards the runway. The flight attendants doing their safety demonstration. I began to tune out the world around me, relaxing further into my seat and go over the plan once I got to Italy.

"A soon as I get off this flying airbus of hell, I'm gonna have to tell Emma that I got there safe. So help me if I find her piling parties into the apartment..." I smile at the thought. Being able to see my only childhood friend after such a long time brought a smile to my face.

Staring blankly out of the school window, watching the cherry blossoms fall was my favorite pass time. School was never much of a fun especially for the lack having much company. I could never be that popular kid, the one that was always surrounded by  so many strangers. Instead I became the quiet kid, but not because I was shy. Why should I have to bend to the will of others just for them to like me? It made no sense, thus my loneliness of siting in a classroom abandoned for the end of the school day.

I sigh looking out the window, noticing the sun already set. How long had I even been here....

"-(/N)(Y/N)!" A cheerful voice pulls me from my trance.

I look up to a familiar tall girl, about a year older than me, with short, slightly curly, blonde hair, held back with a ribbon matching her bright green eyes. I smile slightly and greet her.

"Hey, Emma. Sorry, I guess I got lost in thought." I sheepishly scratch behind my head.

She rolls her eyes and smiles, "What am I ever going to do with you (Y/N)? Now come on we're going to be late for the dinner party!" she exclaims as she drags me out of the classroom. Before we know it, we're already outside of the school.

"Honestly I've been looking for you everywhere! Do you know how long it's been?" She asked.

"No, I guess not." I look forward as I can feel a slight smile on my face start to form, " I guess I lost track of time. Come on, we have to go before Abel gets mad at us for being late!" I say, my smile widening.

"Oh your right let's go!" she exclaims as she drags me again.

I sigh and smile contently, "If I can live like this forever..."

Unfortunately, it clearly didn't work out. Once Emma got into her freshman year of high school, she was sent to Italy for a special program along with her brother. Therefore, leaving me in the small town of (T/N). Though we did get to talk every once in a while, but not nearly enough to be ever make it the same. So when she called me to apply for a college program in Nepal, I couldn't back out.

So, here I am, soaring above the clouds...

I might as well get some shut eye.
