Cold. Darkness. A thick cloud of tension in the air. The Dragon's breath hot and angry. Her eyes were a haunting green color, her iridescent scales, both beautifuland terrifying. The sword in my right hand felt so much heavier then it did about an hour ago. My red firey hair was reduced to a knotted, browned, mess. The Dragon started to prepare for another blow and I raised my shield. The fire was hot and burning from the metal surface of the shield.
How did I get here, you ask?
Well, let me start from the begining, the very begining.
Today was the day. The Most memorable day for the kingdom in a good and bad way. Today was the birth of the Royal Twins, Kygo and Ivy. The whole kingdom was rejoiced in this day. Kygo was a boy with ruffled black hair and Ivy was a girl with red straight hair. The king and queen we're extremely happy.
Little did they know, The rivaling kingdom was planning an attack on them. Later that night, they struck. Fire everywhere, burning buildings, woman and children slaughtered without a second thought. The king and queen both perished that night After hiding their newborn children next to the river in the bushes. The enemys passed and never knew about the babies. Since everything in that kingdom was destroyed the invaders fled and now ruled the land. Thinking that the old kindom was gone, they new that it could not have thrived without royalty. little did they know that the prince and princess were still very much alive.
A day went by after the incident and and a woodsman and his wife were riding by the river when they heard the crying of infants from the bushes. They took the children in and headed to their small cabin. Noticing the small pieces of paper in the baskets, the woman picked them up. They read:
Dear reader,
If you have taken these children and are thinking to raise them, their names are Kygo and Ivy. That is all they need to know. but they come from the royal family. They and no one else can know this. Only you. If you do tell them this before they are of age to take the throne great pain and suffering will surely be fall them.
I know, I know SUPER short chapter. just think of this as a little teaser
