"Come on before we be late for lunch." Jania rushed me. Me and Jania have been friends since the beginning of eighth grade. I had saved her from getting her ass beat.

"Shut up." I play fully rolled my eyes. I slammed my locker door shut and began to walk towards the cafeteria.

"What's up luh' baby." Baby Joe wrapped his arms around me as we waited in line.

"If you don't get yo musty ass away from me." I mugged him. He slowly unwrapped his arms from around me while mugging me back.

"You always tryna' rip on somebody." Joe walked in front of me grabbing a fruit salad and a burger.

I shrugged my shoulders before grabbing a fruit salad then sat down at our table.

"Queen Leah is here!" Kd yelled banging on the table.

"I swea' you be doing the most." Jania rolled her eyes at Kd as he continued to bang on the table.

"Shut'cho Jealous ass up." Kd said rapping making a beat with his hands on the table.

"Everyone say it with me!"Kd yelled, before continuing to rap "Shut'cho Jealous ass-"

"Stop being so gawd damn ghetto." I slapped the back of his head. He stopped and rubbed his head.

"Mean ass." Kd muttered before sticking a fry into his mouth.

I watched our table fill up with our friends. Three and Boomer sat down with their plate in their hands. Ben soon came after.

"What's happenin'?" Ben nodded his head. His eyes were low almost closed with a big ole' smirk on his face. I leaned over and sniffed him only to smell weed.

"You high?" I scrunched my face up at him. Three laughed and shook his head.

"You already know." Ben laughed almost falling out his seat.

"You need to stay off that shit." Kd looked over at him before looking back his burger. He then took a big ass bite almost choking.

"What da' fuck is wrong wit' you? You act like you haven't ate in days." Boomer sipped his drink making everyone laugh.

"You know his mama don't be feeding him." I joined in.

Kd chewed down his food before taking a big ass sip from his drink. He then snatched Jania burger and stuffed it in his mouth.

"Hungry ass." I mumbled putting a strawberry in my mouth.

"When Youngboy coming?" Boomer looked at Three. Three shrugged his shoulders pulling out his cracked up iPhone.

"He said he was coming tomorrow." Ben took a grape off my plate.

"Who y'all talking about?" Jania asked being nosey. I laughed lowly shaking my head.

"He's our old friend back in Louisiana." Three said with a small smile. Baby Joe rolled his eyes liked nobody saw him but I caught his ass.

"Kendell coming too?" Kd asked with a mouth full of food.

"Duh." Boomer rolled his eyes, "That's his brother, why wouldn't he come?"

The bell rung indicating we had to go back to class. I dumped my tray before walking out the cafeteria with Jania right behind me.

As I walked towards my locker a couple people said hey. I smiled and waved at everyone. I opened my locker and handed my books to Jania.

"You don't need all these books. We only have one more class left." Jania huffed. I ignored her and walked down the hall towards our class.

"No! You not riding with me!" I yelled pushing Joe away from my car. He tried to walk around me but I grabbed his arm.

"Move guh'." He snatched his arm out of my hand.

"I need a ride home Queen Leah." Kd walked up to us with a smile.

"Me too." Boomer hugged me. I shoved him away from me and stomped my foot.

"Why y'all didn't catch a ride with Ben and Three or even Jania?" I unlocked the door to my Mercedes Benz Truck.

"Ben and Three left early and you know we don't fuck with Jania like that." Kd got in the passenger side.

"Let me sit right thea'." Joe looked down at Kd.

"No nigga." Kd mugged him. Joe huffed before getting in the back with Boomer.

"Got me sitting by this burnt hot pocket. Y'all know I hate black people." Joe looked over at Boomer. Boomer held his chest looking hurt.

I shook my head before driving out the school parking lot.

"I don't know why y'all don't like Jania. She's nice." I spoke up stopping at a red light.

"And I thought I was slow." I heard Kd mumbled under his breath.

"Everyone can see that Jania doesn't like yo' ass except fa' you." Joe said as I watched him through the mirror. I rolled my eyes stopping in front of Boomer house.

"Thanks Leah." Boomer patted my shoulder getting out.

After I dropped everyone off I drove straight to my house. I hopped out my car and unlocked the front door. I took my shoes off leaving them by the door.

"Anybody home!?" I yelled already knowing the answer. My parents were never home. My mama was always on a business trip and my father was out somewhere being a hoe. My ma' obviously doesn't know because she always at work. I tried to tell her one time but that resulted in me getting slapped.

I walked towards the kitchen and grabbed the jug of orange juice and sat on the counter. I sat quietly drinking my orange juice until my phone buzzed. I picked up my phone seeing I had a text from the group chat.

I looked at the time to see its already 4:30. I guess I can take a little nap. I hopped off the counter and ran upstairs to my room, flopping on my bed. I tied my hair up before drifting off to sleep.
