Tyler looked up from his desk. He had barely made it to second period on time. He would have been beaten had he been late. Of course, he would have gotten the expected apologies, so he wouldn't feel like a criminal he guessed.

He had just finished his homework on biology. They were studying aquatics this semester. They were his favorite subject.

Tyler looked around the room. His eyes stopped on a girl focusing on her work, two rows ahead of him, three seats across from him. Her name was Alyssa Salbert. She had dark brown hair. She was lightly tanned and had blue eyes, Tyler's favorite kind of eyes. She wore a pink shirt that buttoned up at the very top -which were unbuttoned- and a shirt underneath, which was green. Alyssa had shorts that reached almost to her knees and black converse on.

Tyler absorbed all of this within three seconds and then quickly turned away. Alyssa Salbert. The most beautiful girl in their entire school. But she she wasn't like the others, she was also at the top of the class. Which probably wouldn't have meant anything to any other male in the school.

In fact, that wasn't even why Tyler was so fond of her. He like her so much because of one conversation they had during his first year of high school.

He had seen her on the second month of school. She had been sitting on a bench and he stopped dead in his tracks to stare. Her hair glistened in the sun and her eyes were in deep thought. He didn't know how to talk to girls at all, so he was nervous.

He had simply settled for watching her from afar, awaiting to build enough courage to confront her. He went along school quietly, working on school and staring at Alyssa constantly during the school year. They had every class together, which made Tyler think it gave him many chances to ask her out.

Tyler quickly saw that time was flying by. Three quarter had passed by in a quick flash. He knew it was time to make his move. He had just walked out of

class at the end of class. He glided through the hall, he saw Alyssa. He soon became a echo of her footsteps.

He didn't know what to do. Tap on her shoulder? He shrugged as he didn't have any better ideas. So he lightly tapped on Alyssa's shoulder. She turned around and faced Tyler, looking at him with her deep blue eyes. He backed up a little, somewhat surprised that she was looking at him.

"Yeah?" She said, with a raised eyebrow.

Alyssa was actually talking to him. "Umm," he muttered, "Hi."

She looked at him with a smile -smiles were good- "Hi"

"Uhh...what's up?" Tyler said lamely.

"Nothing really. So, what do you want to say?" She said, her smile still intact.

He seemed to blush, but then straightened up his face. "So, babe. Wanna go out with me?"

Her smile disappeared, "Excuse me?"

"Come on, I know you like this." He said, pointing down at his crotch.

"What did you just say?" Her face was now full of anger.

Tyler didn't want to lose his bravado, he had only seen what to do from movies. You just had to be a jerk, and ladies were all over you.

"You heard me whore, how's about I take you out on a little date?"

Alyssa's face was now full of disgust, "What makes you think I'd want to go out with a pig like you?"

"All my money and I could give you all the things you want. I could be...your sugar daddy, so what do say?"

Alyssa stared at him for a few seconds and then kicked him in the shin. Tyler cried out in pain. He hadn't noticed it, but a group of boys were watching him take a shot Alyssa, they were now laughing out loud, grabbing their stomachs.

He didn't know what to say. Alyssa glared at him and hissed harshly, "I thought you were different!" She looked down at the ground, then in a softer voice, "But your just like everyone else...you know. One day, all those things you have, aren't going to mean a thing and your going to have no one." Then she walked away, leaving Tyler to stare after her.

That was why he respected her. She left him thinking. It only increased his feelings for her. And he was surprised to finds that she even had an opinion of him.

I thought you were different, she had said. It stayed with him. He continued to stare at his desk.

The door to the classroom opened up, slamming against the wall. A senior was standing in the hall out of breath.

He was obviously an disciplinary officer, from his black coat that stood out of all the students, no one was allowed to even buy one that looked like it.

He breathed heavily, "We have a situation."
