'Unnie, he's staring at me,' Min Jee, my 5-year-old cousin said to me.

'Daniel, stop staring,' I said as I finish up cooking, wiping the stove area with the kitchen cloth.

'Noona, she's staring at me,' Daniel said after a few seconds.

'Min Jee, it's not nice to stare at Oppa,' I said casually, rinsing the kitchen cloth and hanging it up to dry.

Honestly, I've had enough of these two. They've been at a staring war since Min Jee came. Min Jee's parents, my uncle, and aunt decided to go on a long overdue date, leaving Min Jee in my care since Min Jee adores me.

'Guys, play nice,' I said as I saunter towards the both of them at the living room.

I take a seat near Min Jee who is focusing both on keeping an eye on Daniel and doing her homework. As expected, Min Jee must have inherited my multi-tasking skills.

I glance at Daniel only to find he is raising his brows at me, his lips slightly pouting.

'What?' I mouthed at him, confused.

He silently taps on the empty space next to him, quietly asking me to sit there.

'Unnie, help me with this,' Min Jee said, pulling lightly on the hem of my blouse to get my attention as she glared at Daniel, leaving Daniel speechless.

'Sure, Min Jee,' I said, the corner of my lips twitched from trying hard not to laugh at Daniel's reaction. He ended up silently protesting by playing LOL on his phone while lying on the couch, his feet dangling casually.

'You're doing great, Min Jee,' I praised when Min Jee completed her homework neatly.

'Thank you for helping me, unnie,' she exclaimed excitedly, gathering her stationeries.

Just then, my phone rings. It's my sister-in-law. Apparently, due to some long battle cases in court, Oppa is unable to accompany her for her prenatal checkups at the clinic.

'Oh, unnie. I'll be right there. 5 minutes,' I said as I gather my things in a rush.

'Noona, where are you going?' Daniel asked, suddenly panicking.

'Prenatal check-up. I told you before, didn't I?' I answered, putting my shoes on.

'But..what about me and Min Jee? Can we tag along?' He asks, his glance turning more desperate.

I stood up and faces him, taking his hands in mine.

'Puppy, do I have to explain to you what will happen if you come to the prenatal clinic with me? Hm?' I cooed. Sometimes he's just this clueless.

For a moment he went blank. And after a while, his mouth forms an O as if digesting what I said, giving it a little nod.

'I've prepared lunch. Have it with Min Jee. I won't be long,' I said before tiptoeing to kiss him on the lips before leaving him in shock of having to babysit a 5-year old kid. I just have to secretly pray that Min Jee doesn't burn him down to the ground.

'Thank you, Y/N for accompanying me today. I really hope this will be the last appointment I will have to attend. I feel so bloated now. I can't wait to have this baby,' Unnie said, stopping in front of my apartment complex in a car driven by Oppa's special driver.

'No worries unnie. You'll be fine. I'll see you again soon. Rest well,' I said, getting out of the car before waving her goodbye.

It's a good thing the waiting time for the appointment wasn't long. I sigh, feeling a little tired as I take my steps towards the entrance. I'm just glad to be home.
