I froze in my place as I watched the knife, eerily. "B-Ben," I croaked through his grip, "P-p-please. W-w-what did I do to you?"
"You're bad, Ame." Ben's voice shook, as he removed his hand from my throat, digging the point of the knife into the skin surrounding my throat. I tilted my head up, trying to get away from the oncoming pain, while I stared at it with frightful eyes.
Tears welled up in my eyes as the warm fluid of blood began to drip down my neck. I was scared. I was terrified. I was petrified.
"W-w-w-what-t did I-"
"Shut up!" Ben interrupted, screaming in my face, vigorously, making me whimper quietly. He dug the knife deeper into the skin making pain erupt all throughout my body. Tears streamed down my face as I let out a sob.
All through this time, Ben has been muttering the same word over and over again.
Bad.
What did I do?
"Stop!" I cried.
"Shut u-" Ben screamed but was interrupted when he was tackled off of me.
Of course, it was a relief that Ben was off and away from me, but my body was in pain. My throat felt numb of the pain, as my thumb addressed the womb. It was a two inch wide slit, with blood proceeding to stream from it. I gasped for air as the pain twinged.
I felt so weak.
So vulnerable.
I hated it.
My vision was blurry because of the tears.
I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard Thomas scream. I snapped my head to the left and saw Ben on top of Thomas, biting his shoulder. Biting.
His screams rung through my ears, making me shrink back slightly. But I had to do something...again.
I slowly got to my feet, feeling my head spin. I took a step forward, ready to tackle Ben...again. But before I could take another step towards them, Thomas put all his strength into his arms and pushed Ben away.
My legs buckled under my weight, and I fell to my knees. As Ben was recovering his fall, Thomas quickly crawled over to me, sat on his knees and then cupped my face, "Are you okay?"
I nodded my head, feeling shaken. I looked over Thomas' shoulder, seeing Ben crouch down, facing us. He looked at us like we were a hunk of meat, and he was a starving animal.
Thomas turned around, noticing my stares over his shoulder. Ben looked like he was ready to pounce. I wasn't ready for another fight. But I would if it came down to it. I'd rather I get attacked instead of Thomas.
I grabbed Thomas' hand, reading myself to pounce in return, waiting for the attack to begin.
But it never came. Instead there was a sound of a bow-string stretching. Then, there came a voice that I never thought I'd be grateful to hear.
"Ben!" Alby's voice rung through the forest.
Thomas and I snapped our head towards his voice and I could tell that Thomas was about to die of relief. Alby stood a few meters away, holding a large bow with an arrow locked in, pointed directly at Ben.
"Ben, I swear. You move and you ain't seeing the light of day ever again." Alby kept his eyes on the sick boy.
I looked over at Ben, seeing him snarl at Alby like an animal before being killed and skinned. After a few minutes I thought he would never answer, but then his voice rung through the tension.
