Chatter and classical music occupied the mansion's ballroom. The lively sound echoed through the halls of the Tou's resident. The maids and janitors had been running around the kitchens. Everyone is excited.. except the heir to the house. The second heir to the house is Mireille Tou. The only daughter of the family, the younger line of her family are her brothers.

"Mireille, it's time to introduce yourself to the guests," Madam Tou stepped into her room with a crowd of female employees. Rei frowned in frustration, due to the fact that her mother was trying to please the guests with her sense of beauty. She stood up, wearing her formal dress; along with a pair of glasses to go with. The gray frills bounced as she stepped down the dark marble stairs of the ballroom. Everyone's gaze fixed upon her.

"Guests of the twenty-year high school anniversary. We present to you, the chairman's daughter. The second hope to our future and riches," her mother nudged her daughter to smile. Rei scanned the crowd as she waved to the people that sat on the red velvet chairs. She noticed that the classical piano playing had stopped since she arrived to greet everyone. Why him? Rei smiled after their eyes met.

"I want to play the piano too.." she thought. "Ah, thank you all for being here today. We appreciate that you have taken your time to attend a twenty-year reunion. I hope that our gourmet will bring pleasure to your tastes.." Rei bowed down in respect of the elders. The audience below the staircase clapped, and moved onto their business.

"You're free to do as you wish at this reunion. In one condition, you may not go back inside your room until the guests have left," Madam Tou strictly tells her young daughter.

"Understood," Mirei kept her eyes on the grand piano on the other side of the ballroom. The boy that sat there playing the Requiem from Mozart had girl-like hair style feature. His dark-brown eyes stayed on the keys. Without hesitation, Rei sat a small distance from his piano seat. She stared at his fingers playing in admiration. When he finished the song, he placed the panel over the keyboard.

"Hello, young second 'heiress to the throne'. Do you have a staring problem?" he rested his elbow to the case.

"I beg your pardon?" Rei blinked in disbelief, "is that supposed to be an insult?"

"Not really. I only played to entertain the guests. It's best to leave musicians alone.. don't you agree?"

"Not really.. I've never really went outside of my room for a party like this before. Therefore, this is my first time seeing someone play live," her head drooped.

"Oh really? What shall I play for you-- how about Fur Elise? Also, your family is famous around the block for planning parties. Piano performances are held here at most times. How would you- " he laughed, "oh, my apologies; I'm Ryuuji Fujimoto. You appear half-Japanese. What's your other side?"

"French. I'm Mireille Tou, employees call me Rei. You can play whatever will please you. To answer your question.. I was locked up here all my life up until now. I attended a private college will full security protection. I don't have any friends. I might have to stop saying anymore," she fumbled in her words, her fists held tight.

"Ever tried to escape?" he grinned.
