"JUGHEAD JONES THAT WAS MY BAD LEG!" Veronica Lodge screeched as Jughead slammed a pillow on her ankle to wake her up.

Veronica Lodge sat up straight in her bed, staring daggers at the raven haired boy, who looked a little guilty.

"For God's sake, I wished for a person to make me safe and instead I wake up to this monster!" Veronica grumbles under her breath.

"Wake up. You slept in," Jughead Jones tossed his weapon back onto his bed. "Dad said you'll miss breakfast if you don't get downstairs
soon."

"Well, I'm up now, you've done your job very violently," she snapped. "Now leave before you kill me as well."

He left, slamming the door.

"Ah, finally, Sleeping Beauty's awake! Which Prince's kiss woke you up this time? The Serpent prince?" Cheryl said cheerily once she saw Veronica arriving at the breakfast table.

Immediately, Jughead choked on his pancakes and glared at Cheryl Blossom.
"You just made me lose my appetite! And that takes a truly disgusting idea to do so!"

"What's with the princess nicknames, Ariel?" Veronica snarked, still in a bad mood after Jughead's violence. "And FYI, it was the Serpent prince's violent hitting of my bad leg that woke me up."

FP stared at his son disapprovingly.

"She was under the blanket, how was I supposed to know I had hit her bad leg?" Jughead stated in defense.

"Have some tea, children," Nana Rose poured the four of them tea to ease the tension at the breakfast table.

"Oh dear Nana Rose, I'll do it," Cheryl took the kettle and poured her Nana some tea. "After all, spilling tea is my expertise," Cheryl smirked. "Jughead should know."

He ignored the red head, but anyone could tell he was pissed. Jughead forcefully tore apart his pancakes with a knife and took a big bite.

Jughead was not angry at Cheryl, but she had triggered some of his worst memories.

The redhead, in revenge, had announced the shocking news of Betty Cooper kissing Archie Andrews to Jughead via phone. A part of Jughead was grateful that Cheryl had told him, but a part of him was angry that he had to learn from Cheryl, not Betty herself.

However, Jughead would never admit that amidst the bad outcomes, eventually building up to a break up, there was one good outcome.

And that was kissing the one and only Veronica Lodge.
