It had been two weeks since my dad made me a god and I was finally, finally, getting used to my powers. I didn't think I could ever get used to it, but I was getting there.

The training was hell (pun completely intended) and Alecto showed no mercy, I think she actually enjoyed seeing me suffer-no difference there. The new power was cool, making hellfire for the first time was completely uncool though—let's just say that that part of the Fields of Asphodel need some maintenance, and a few spirits need some therapy...

A n y w a y, I was still kinda miffed, since all the training had taken up what little free time I had—training the newer campers, eating and sleeping took up a surprisingly large amount of time (yes I eat now)—and I hadn't had any free time with Will recently. Buuuut, after weeks, training had finished, Will was done in the infirmary, it was 10pm and I FINALLY got to see him.

Then the daydream started.

Just like last time, the strange, hissing voice spoke to me, but this time, a beautiful woman with long, flowing hair and a silky emerald dress was the only thing in my line of sight. Oh. She had a weasel on her shoulder. Hecate.

Now, I didn't have anything against the goddess, per-say, but rather the entirety of Olympus, minus a few select gods. I felt like the only god that hadn't screwed me over was Hestia, hence the reason why she was my favourite. I still liked my dad and Persephone though, since they were, y'know, my parents, but Hestia hadn't neglected me for years and turned me into a flower. So...my favourite.

I screamed, "SHIST!!" Zeus almighty, ten minutes, ten minutes alone with my boyfriend, that was all I wanted. UUUUUUUUGGHH. Unsurprisingly, my scream didn't go unnoticed by Will, "Death boy?" He asked tentatively. My only response was a groan and some incoherent mumbling about stupid gods and stupid Dad and stupid Underworld and my now impossible wish for the sweet release of death. I bid him goodbye with a quick peck on the cheek and, albeit reluctantly, shadow travelled to the Underworld.

When I arrived, the first thing I saw was the woman with a weasel, Hecate, goddess of magic and crossroads, in a relatively heated whisper argument with my father, like they were trying to stay quiet, but were failing miserably.

"Ummm..Dad, Lady Hecate..?" I asked tentatively, interrupting their whisper-shouting match.

"Yes, son, how has your training been going?" My father asked, quite obviously not wanting to get to the actual reason why I was here. "I actually finished just a couple of days ago...soooo...why'd ya ask for me?" I really wanted to get back to Will, but alas, the fates once again decided to spite me because Hecate then spoke up.

"Ah, the new god of shadows, Nico di Angelo, I have a...job for you," she couldn't exactly call it a quest now since I wasn't actually a demigod anymore. A look of annoyance soon crossed my face. A mantra of whys were the only thoughts running through my head.

"Now I know you've been busy, but my pet world-" "the pet world Zeus forbid you to create," my father butted in.

I had heard of this world, something about her gifting some mortals with magic and it turning into a community or something.

Hecate only glared at him before continuing. "Yes, it is in grave danger. I trust you know of Tom Riddle?"

I immediately felt a surge of anger run through me.

Tom Riddle, a mere mortal who thinks he is unstoppable, I'd been wanting to get my hands on him for years, but he was in a strange limbo, even Thanatos was unable to get to him.

"He has returned."

"WHAT?!" I can't believe it, that-that lowlife thinks he can just—come back??!!! Oooooh when I get my hands on him..!

"Yes, young godling, and I need you to help someone kill him," she answered. Yes!!! I finally get to kill him!!!—wait...

It soon occurred to me that she said to help someone kill him

"What do you mean, my lady?" I asked, genuinely curious.

She then went on to explain more about her world. She told me about the war, about Tom (no I will not call him Voldemort, Flight of Death is too weird of a name) and how he thinks that anyone less than a 'pure blood' wizard is worthless and soon went on to explain,

"There is a prophecy that foretells a boy born at the end of July. It is destined to happen in the coming years, but this boy tends to get into...dangerous situations... that is why you will be going undercover and taking up the position of teacher at his school, Hogwarts, and protecting the boy."

I disregarded the strange name and asked why she picked me of all people. I'm the son of the lord of the Underworld, and although I'm pretty good with kids, I'm the least likely to be a teacher. She soon answered with,

"Because, Nico, you are the last remaining heir to your family, a powerful pureblood family thought to have died out. Not only that, but you are the best for the job with your knowledge on death and such. And yes, you are a wizard. I will give you all the knowledge of the wizarding world, too, so you need not worry about that," she said with a smile. It was obvious there was an underlying threat in there, too. I sighed and reluctantly agreed.

She placed her index finger on my forehead and, suddenly, there was a flash of light and tons of knowledge flew into my brain. It was quite disorienting, but nothing compared to becoming a god.

"Good, here is the location of the school, and the place you will be staying until the school year starts. She gave me a slip of paper with two names on it. "When you get there, ask to see my son, Albus Dumbledore. They may not trust you at first, so try not to use your Underworld powers, they consider it dark magic."

She then handed me a letter with her son's name on it.

"Give this to Albus, will you? It will explain why you are here in much more detail than a dream could. My son will tell you all you need to know. Now off you go,"

There was another flash of light and suddenly, I was standing in front of a bunch of English-style houses.

Crap, I didn't get to say goodbye.

Stupid gods.

I looked down at the slip of paper, angry that I didn't get to say bye to Will, and read it. Luckily, it was in Greek.

Number 12 Grimmauld Place. Huh.
