JULIANNA

The boys walked off stage after saying their final goodbye's to the crowd. I smiled while they walked over and people rushed towards them, handing them towels and water bottles. I just stood there, staring at all of those things that happened. It looked like this really was their routine.

Then, they stared at me. Ashton was the first one to walk over.

"So how did you enjoy the rest of the show?"

I smiled, flushing my cheeks. It was not everyday that somebody famous asked me for my opinion on their work. "I loved it." I nodded, flashing him a smile. "Have you been to one of our shows before?" Michael asked, walking over to join the conversation. I shook my head. "Last time I was too late because you guys were all sold out and the time before that I wasn't able to come." I told them.

"Well then this is quite the show for you." Calum laughed, afterwards taking a sip from his water. I nodded, "It really is, thanks for everything." I said once Luke had also walked over. I wanted them to know how grateful I was for this moment.

I looked around the backstage scene for a minute, just scanning and taking in everything. "Hey do you want to get some food in our dressing room?" Ashton asked, the other boys just stared at me hopefully. "Sure." I smiled, following them.

There was a lot of confusion build up in me, but I would never say no to spending time with my favourite band in the world.

"So where did you learn to sing like that?" Luke asked once we plopped down on the couch. "I mean, your singing teacher would be proud of you." He laughed, taking a hand through his curls. I smiled, "I actually don't have a teacher. I learned to sing all by myself." I said, making their eyes widen, they looked really surprised.

"Well that's even cooler, your voice is so beautiful I was guessing a teacher would've helped with that." Calum said. He hadn't spoken in a while but he kept staring at me, he just looked very interested.

"Nope, did it all by myself." I smiled, playing with the ring on my finger while taking a sip from my Sprite.

We talked for at least an hour longer until they mentioned my YouTube channel. "So you showed me your channel, tell us about it?" Calum said, smiling.

"Well, I started uploading covers of your songs mainly but also other artists every now and then, about five years ago." I said, staring at my hands. "Acoustic?" Luke asked, staring at his acoustic guitar in the corner of the room. I nodded. "Cool." Michael said. I smiled, "My mother is a very musical person, she plays like five instruments, so it runs in the family." I said, thinking about my family.

Maybe my sister would have seen me preforming online. I had totally forgotten to check my phone the entire time. It would be rude to grab my phone right now, but I definitely had to check my messages as soon as possible.

"So do you play other instruments other than the guitar?" Michael asked, interested in my musical qualities. I nodded, making them all even more interested. "I used to have drumming lessons ever since I was like ten until I was fifteen." I said, making Ashton smile broader.

"Really?" He said, almost excited. I nodded, showing him a toothy grin. "You've got to let us hear those things some time." He said. I smiled and nodded. "Well, it's been about four years since my last lesson, so we'll see about my skills now." I laughed, realising I had played some drums here and there, but not very constant. "And I kind of learned myself to play guitar." I finished.

I almost felt like I was bragging or something. But then again, they asked me about my musical qualities so they were really wondering.

"Okay so you drum, you play guitar and you sing. Isn't that enough to write your own songs?" Luke asked. I looked next to me, where he was sitting and I blushed. He was so close to me, our shoulders were almost touching and only now was the time I started to realise that.

"I started writing my own songs a few times, but nearly never finishing them." I said, thinking about my try's at becoming an actual singer-songwriter. I had the willpower to start, but probably just not enough willpower to also finish it. Luke nodded, thinking about what I just told him.

He showed a small smile and stared at the rest of his band. "I think we could help you with that." Calum said, breaking the silence that was growing a little awkward. I was so thankful that he started talking again.

"So, tomorrow." Ashton started saying, glancing at his phone. "Are you coming to the show tomorrow?" He asked and I furrowed my eyebrows. "I'm not." I said. I was too late to buy tickets for tomorrow, so I had to pass and take a bow with seeing them only once. "Well how about we give you another of these backstage passes." Luke said, pointing at the one around my neck and then getting up and walking over to the corner of the room and digging in to a bag.

"Wait, guys, you really don't have to do this." I said, widening my eyes. "Of course we don't have to." Calum smiled at me, showing his sweet eyes. "We only do it because we want to." He finished his sentence and I just stared at these boys, so confused and overwhelmed.

What were my parents going to think of me? They were probably going to be even more confused when I tried to explain that I sang on a stage and I was going to that same show the next day.

"I-" I started saying, not knowing how to finish that sentence. "Thank you." I smiled, giving each of them a hug. Luke handed me the backstage pass. I smiled, the big VIP in the middle and a recreation of their album around it. It was exactly the same as the one I was already wearing, only then with a different date on it.

There was a lady that walked in, right when I finished hugging Michael. "Oh, boys." She said, not expecting me to still be there. "The taxi to the hotel is here." She said, they nodded and the lady walked off again.

"That means we've got to go." Ashton said, walking towards the door. The other boys followed and Calum and I followed lastly

"Hey, let me give you my number." He said, a shy smile on his lips. I showed him a shy smile back. "You know, for if you have questions about how to enter the building tomorrow." He said, almost giving himself a cover-up. I nodded, understandingly.

He typed his number in to my phone and I thanked him. I called myself another taxi while following them outside.

I hugged all four of them goodbye and waved while they drove off. I stood there waiting for my own taxi a little longer. When it finally arrived, I got in and gave the driver my address.

I finally unlocked my phone, it flooded with texts and social media notifications. I widened my eyes and started looking at everything. I shook my head, first I had to text Calum with my number, because now only I could contact him and he told me he wanted to be able to contact me too.

To Calum Hood: Hey, it's Julia :)

Simple and effortless. Now I had to go through all my other messages. My sister had flooded my inbox.

From Carrie Thompson: Oh my god you're everywhere!!!

From Carrie Thompson: Are you with them now?!?!?!?!?!

And twenty-or-so more of those. I chuckled, definitely planning on telling her everything once I got home.
