Three Years Prior
I ran as fast as I could. I skidded to a stop when I saw him; the principal. I walked past him, not wanting to go to detention. I heard the snap of the ruler close behind me, so I quickly walked into a room and opened up the notebook. I quickly wrote down the answers, then turned around. I quickly walked to find an exit as I heard Baldi say. "Congratulations! You found all seven notebooks! Now all you need to do is, GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!"
I heard his ruler snaps increase as it got faster. I ran to an exit to find it disappear, then to another to find it do the same thing. Baldi was right behind me. I turned a corner, running into a wall and falling. I looked up to see Baldi with a very angry expression. "Ugh, children...it's always the younger ones that actually deserve this." He reaches his hand out to grab me when I bit him. He recoiled and hissed in pain. I grabbed his ruler and smacked him right on his head. I dropped the ruler and ran for it. I stopped at the exit and looked back at Baldi, who was running at me. I stuck my tongue out and opened the door, closing it behind me.
Present Day
I walked home to my apartment after work. Once I turned sixteen a few weeks ago, my parents gave me $300 and kicked me out to find a job. I did just that. I lived on the low end part of town, in a cheap apartment complex. I was still in contact with my mom and dad, which that's the reason I still attend school. They paid for it as long as I paid for my apartment, clothing, etc. With the amount of money school charges you for food and supplies, I'd probably be bankrupt. I would be bankrupt. That's why I loved summer. Not only that, but summer nights like this! My parents signed me up for summer school again. I was failing math. Not that bad, but my parents wanted me to improve. They've been signing me up for things like this since I was ten. I loved my first and second year, with Mrs. Bell...those were the days. But, she retired. That's when my parents signed me up for a new summer school with...I shuddered. I didn't want to say his name. I could hear rulers snapping in my head. Him telling me that he'd be happy to kill me since I'm young. After that, I told my parents what happened. Of course, they didn't believe me. But they cared and knew I was scared of that horrible teacher. That's why they signed my up for a different summer school. I haven't attended for a year now, since we can't find a school to go to. But this year we found one. It's a school I've never heard of. I don't know who my teacher is. I thought of my past school names. I shuddered as my mind passed the name Baldi's Schoolhouse. This one was called Basic Mathematics Summer School. ( I don't know, okay?)
As I got home, I placed my work things down, got dressed, brushed my teeth, and went to bed. That morning I awoke to my alarm clock ringing. I checked my calendar. My first day of summer school! I said that like a child. I laughed. I ate, showered, got dressed, brushed my hair and teeth, then got my things packed. I checked my watch, then headed to the location where the school rested. I had arrived and placed my hand on the huge metal door. It was yellow, too. Brought back some memories...
As I entered, the door closed with a loud slam. I looked ahead and saw my teacher. My eyes widened and I almost screamed. "Oh, hello! You must be (Y/n)! Welcome to my schoolhouse!" He said with a smile. It was Baldi! He hasn't changed at ALL since I last saw him! I don't even think he aged! He still wore those blue pants and that green sweater. "Uhm, yeah. I'm (Y/n)...and you're, uhm, Mr. Baldi?" I asked. He nodded with a smile. This was okay, maybe he changed! Maybe he didn't even remember me? Who knows! "I used to have a student back about three years ago named (y/n)! Beautiful name!" He glared for a second. He was probably having flashbacks. Okay! So, he remembers me, but maybe he doesn't know it's me! After all, that's when I was thirteen! I'm sixteen now, I look different!
"Class starts at 10:30! So don't be late!" He nodded at a room with the number 99 on it, then walked away. I looked at my watch. I had ten minutes. I walked around the place, bringing in old memories. I wandered around, taking in the cafeteria and everything. I was too young to remember what the outside of the place looked like, or where it was. That's probably why I didn't recognize the place until I got inside it. I checked my clock. Five minutes have passed already? I saw this girl in a red dress and blue leggings underneath, her hair brown but eyes black. I remember her! Playtime! I hated her so much! I glared as she approached me. "Let's play!" She yelled. "Uhh, no, not right now." I told her. "Ready? Go!" She started counting up to five as I jumped the jump rope. When we were done, she left. I quickly turned around to get back to the classroom. I don't want to be late, and I've seen Baldi when he's pissed. I finally turned the corner only to see the classroom. I look at my watch. 10:29. I made it! I took a step down the hallway, it turned 10:30. No! I darted down the hallway and slammed into the door, forgetting it was there. I opened it to see Baldi eyeing me. "You're late, Miss (L/n)." He said darkly. "I'm...I'm sorry I'm late, M-Mr. Baldi!" I said in horror. "It is your first day, after all. If it happens again..." He returned to normal, looking me up and down. "Anyways, here you go!" He gave me a notebook. I got out my pen and opened it up. It was the same as back then! Just simple math problems! I began writing down my answers. I was done in a matter of minutes. Baldi was doing something, so I doodled all over the side of the paper. He finally closed whatever he was working on and stood up, looking at my work. He seemed to be admiring my doodles, as well! Maybe he has changed? "Wow! You exist!" I heard him say. I smiled at that. That same smile soon faded as I realized that this is the same thing he had said to me all those years ago! He looked at me. "Something bothering you, Miss?" He asked me. "No, nothing." I replied. "Anyways, here's your prize! A shiny quarter!" He placed it on my desk. I stared upon it in horror, he still gave out quarters! "Well, anyways, it's time for you to go ahead and have lunch, then you can go home for the night! See you tomorrow, (Y/n)!" He waved. I picked up the quarter and my bag, then headed out to the cafeteria. I just sat down on the table waiting for the bell to ring. There was two others there, as well. The bully, who I remember very well. He still wore that ugly orange shirt of his with blue sleeves. Another person was there, too. I've never seen him before. "Who's that?" I asked the bully. "You wanna know who First Place is? You got to give me cCcCccCaaAanNNDyY first!" He told me. I rolled my eyes. First Place, eh? I smirked. The bell rung. I grabbed my bag, slipping the quarter inside of it. I headed towards to exit. That night, I thought about my day. Maybe Baldi has changed, I'll have to wait and see, though. I closed my eyes and dazed off.
