This will be a long confession
I love Paramore. I don't mind if you like old or new Paramore, or both. But personally I love both. Paramore is Paramore either way. I don't believe they ever sold out. However if I HAD to say that sold out at some point in their career, it wouldn't be the self titled album. It would be RIOT!. Reason: notice the changes made between the debut and RIOT! is drastic. With their debut All We Know Is Falling, they were basically complete nobodies with a rather limited fan base. And their music from their debut was more alternative and rock based than RIOT!(because going pop apparently means selling out). Riot still was mostly rock based,but there was an increase in the pop appeal. And they had more MTV interviews than before, were more associated with popular artists,etc. Plus Paramore has always had pop in their discography. Look up the genres for each of their albums. You'll see pop every time. It's just now, they've decided to really accentuate their pop side and barely have rock. Being a popular band wasn't all that much of a new thing to them by the time, they released the self titled album.
Once again, I love Paramore, but this is just an opinion. I don't think they sold out ever, but I'm just stating, what's been on my mind for a while.
