"that's all for today class." the teacher announces when the bell rang. "you're dismissed." 

everyone stands and quickly grabs their notebooks and pencil cases to throw it inside their backpack. they just want to leave and no one can blame them. being the last year on that school made them excited everytime a day of school ends. 

soyung closes her backpack and leaves the room with her friends, not even bothering to put the backpack straps on her shoulders. 

another week has ended and she just wants to get home and lay down on her bed and only wake up on monday. 

she walks out of school and says her goodbyes to hyunjin and chaewon before leaving. her house isn't that far away from school so she just walks home. the weather is nice so she doesn't mind.

as she gets home, she could already hear their parents' shouts. they are fighting, again. it has been like this for three years now. she doesn't know what happened nor her brother.

her brother moved out of their house about a year and a half-ish and she misses him a lot in that house. she has no one to protect her from her parents and to tell her that everything is gonna be okay. but fortunately, her brother doesn't live far away so she can always have the comfort of his arms.

she enters the house and the screams intensify. she walks to the kitchen where her parents are. her mother is next to the counter crying while her father screams at her.

"why can't you two stop fighting?" the girl screams at the two adults making their heads turn to her, putting the attention on her. "it's like this every single day! I'm tired of this..." at this point, she is already crying.

"go to your bedroom and mind your own business!" her father yells and she lowers her head. "now!"

the girl runs to her bedroom and quickly picks up her backpack and her gym bag and fills it up with clothes and the essentials she needs. she is tired of this every single day. she picks up a paper and a pen and she thinks about writing a note, but then she changes her mind and throws it into her backpack. 

she changes her clothing to some leggings and a sweatshirt and packs her school uniform before grabbing the bags and getting out of her room to walk downstairs. the screams continued and she just leaves the house making sure she slams the door behind her. 

she decided to go to her brother's house. she sent him a text earlier and he didn't reply. maybe he is at work. his house is like two blocks away from hers so she has to walk for a while to get there.

she knocks on her brother's apartment door hoping he would be home. she waits for some minutes and nothing. he isn't home. she sits next to his door waiting for him. it was almost seven o'clock so, he must be on his way home. she picks her phone and starts scrolling down on social media for the time to pass faster. 

"soyung? what are you doing here?" the blond boy in front of her asks her. she recognizes him being one of hyunjin's friends but can't remember his name. there was another boy beside him holding out some keys and opening the door in front of her brother's. she looks at the blond trying to remember his name and he seems to notice it. "my name's felix, I'm one of hyunjin's friends. we used to hang out a lot?" 

"oh right, I'm sorry." she stands up. " I'm just waiting for my brother." she points to her brother's door and gives him a smile.

"oh, you are seongwoo's sister?" the other boy asks looking at her with a smile on his face. the boy's looks were so intriguing. he seemed like a cold person before but when he smiled, it was like the whole hallway just lighted up.

"yes, do you know my brother?" she questions him. of course he knows my brother, they're neighbors. 

the boy nods. " I'm changbin, by the way." they both smile at each other. 

"must be uncomfortable being out here sitting on the ground. come on in." felix said giving her a warm smile. 

"don't need to, my brother is gonna be home pretty soon. I'm sure of it." 

"it wasn't an invitation." felix's face turns serious as he starts picking up her bags from the ground and taking them inside his apartment. "come on in." 

"that was unnecessary but ok." she walks into the apartment and takes her bags from felix's hands who was waiting for her at the door. the boy closes the door and leads the girl into the living room. "thank you."

she looks around at their apartment. it was quite similar to her brother's except for the furniture, but well, that is obvious. "your place is nice." she compliments the apartment. the boy smiles and she sits on the couch taking her phone out of her pocket to send a message to seongwoo letting him know where she is. 

"we have a guest and no one told me?" the voice coming from the living room entrance is heard and she looks at the source of the voice. with a small smile on his plump lips, showing his dimples, he walks over to the couch and sits right next to her. " I'm chan, and you are?" 

"soyung, ong soyung." the girl answers in a low voice due to the shyness. 

"she is seongwoo's sister and hyunjin's friend." felix explains to chan. "she was outside waiting for her brother who hasn't arrived, so I let her in." they receive a nod from chan and she smiles. "where's woojin hyung?"

"went to grab some food, so prepare yourself for some chicken." the boys laughed and the front door opened revealing a brown-haired figure with plastic bags on his hands whose belongs to the takeaway restaurant on the end of the street. "woojin-ah! you are back! felix, go set the table." chan orders and felix runs to the kitchen making chan and woojin laugh. "woojin, this is soyung, our neighbor seongwoo's sister." 

"nice to meet you!" he does a little bow and the girl stands to do the same. the boy smiles and walks over to the kitchen to place the food on the table. 

her phone rings as she gets a message from her brother letting her know he was home. "I have to go, but thank you for letting me stay here." she bows and picks up her bags. 

"guys, our guest is leaving!" chan spoke a bit louder so the other boys could hear. "come to say goodbye." 

felix appeared quickly saying goodbye with his usual bright smile and woojin did the same. the third boy left the kitchen a bit after them and came closer to her. 

"say hello to your brother for me." he asks and gives a little smile. "have a nice night." he bows and says a small goodbye before going back to the kitchen. 

she waves at chan and leaves their apartment, hearing the door closing behind her. 

well, that was an expected evening.
