Keely was left dazed and confused by the words that had been thrown over Tommy's shoulder at her, as she said her goodbyes to Polly and Ada she couldn't help but think "what the bloody hell was a peaky blinder."

Twisting and turning during the rest of her sleep, Keely tiredly got up and started dressing for a day that she wasn't so sure about.

"Oh Keely your up early today" smiled Mary as she noticed the young girl making her way down the stairs, "couldn't sleep Mary and I've been asked to be at the garrison for 8 this morning" she yawned as she sat down at her usual table. Mary placed some toast in front of the girl, "Polly and Ada are keeping you on your toes anyway," Keely smiled "Mary can I ask you something," "yes of course dear, what is it?" Mary turned to look at her, "what's a peaky blinder." Keely took notice to Mary's face dropping ever so slightly, "be careful around them boys my dear, they're boys in men's clothing," "it's just tommy asked me to meet him this morning and said that I've been hired by the peaky blinders," the older woman stopped wiping the glasses "don't you do anything you don't want to, you come straight to me and I'll have a word with tommy myself." Keely giggled, "don't worry Mary, I'm sure I can handle the big bad wolf myself. I best be off, I'll see you later." Mary watched her leave and giggled to herself, " Tommy Shelby doesn't know what he's in for."

Making her way to the garrison keely couldn't help but feel on edge, Mary seemed very ensure of the peaky blinders and that set the young girls stomach on spin mode. Pushing through the doors to the dark pub, she glanced at the clock to see that she was early "can I help you love?" Keely turned to be greeted by a much taller man than her, "oh hello, I'm just here to meet tommy" "Tommy as in Thomas Shelby?" "Um yes," the bartender looked confused as he scratched the back of his head "what business do you have with him? Your not even from around here," Keely smiled "is my accent that bad?," the bartender laughed, "I'm Harry" the young girl extended her hand, "nice to meet you Harry, I'm Keely." "So what's your accent?," "oh I'm Irish, from Kerry but lived in Dublin for most of my life." Harry smiled, "my mother was Irish," Keely smiled, "would you like some help? My family owned a pub in Dublin, I loved working in it" Harry smiled at the young girls bubbly personality "there's a broom sitting at the door, you could give the floor a sweep," Keely rushed the broom and began sweeping the floor, "I miss this, real work. Don't feel useless when I'm working" Keely laughed as her and Harry continued to chat, neither of them realized the time nor did they see Thomas Shelby entering the pub. "Well isn't this a pretty site, since when were we hiring now staff Harry?" Keely stopped the look at the blue eyed man that was staring at her from the bar, "sorry Tommy, she just asked if she could help me out" Harry rushed out to grab the broom of Keely, "don't worry about it Harry, you have no need to apologize. I was only helping him out because I arrived early" Keely said as she continued to stare at Tommy, "I have experience so I don't mind" tommy smiled "well then it's okay" he took a cigarette from his inside pocket and lit it, "now let's get to business, shall we?" He led the young girl into a closed off area of the pub, she took a seat beside the window and waited for Tommy to speak. "So you said you were good with people," Keely nodded "have you got a nice dress?" The young girl was confused "what has a dress got to do with this?" Tommy smirked and took some money from his pocket, "buy yourself a nice dress, we're going to the races."
